Johnson Creek is now offering an oak barrel aged juice that will probably be awesome... at 30 USD per 30 ml bottle.

    G-d dammit. Ordered.

Fortunately, I have no free tanks and a long queue of untried juices...let us know how it is @Darth Vaper.

And fortunately for me I won't spend that much on a juice if I have satisfactory juices I can get for $18/100ml. lol

If you don't want to waste 17 minutes, watch between 11:30-13:00 when he describe the juice.

    **Updated**
Oh yeah, and I believe last time I checked Johnson Creek doesn't ship to Thailand? So, added expense having someone re-mail it here.

The reasoning behind aging in an oak barrel over time, and I'm talking years the oak actually releases sugars and essence into whiskey or wine. Jack Danial's takes the step even further by burning the inside of the barrel to get the most out of the sugars ( by doing so they have to call it whiskey instead of bourbon)

Concerning e-juice it is just a marketing ploy to make money. If they are actually even putting it in a barrel, which I doubt, it is only in the barrel for 2 months which would have no effect. Another clue would be when the guy talks about the bourbon flavor of the juice...it's a flavoring it's not from an actual bourbon barrel because #1 Bourbon in order to be called bourbon it has to be aged in a clean oak barrel ( no burning ) and #2 ATF would be all over them if they were actually aging anything in a used bourbon bourbon barrel for consumable re-sale.

I watched a video of 5 pawns at a vape show and although the actual taste of there produc was bleeped out the guy they were interviewing stated it was aged in a stainless barrel ,when i saw this and listened to the rubbish that he was saying it appears that they are trying to make themselves out to be master blenders or something .I have to agree with talen that a lot of what is promoted is just hype and marketing and catering for yuppies who wishs to be trendy and vape something they can say is aged in an oak/stainless barrel when most of the really good suppliers her dont have any fancy secrets or special blending vats ,this might sound a bit nasty but i hate it when people get sucked in by a load af what i call b.s

I've watched him a few times the last few days..
It has a real '80s' feel and look when watching them..
If someone told me this was recorded in the 80s I'd have believed them....

Johnson Creek used to use actual tobacco essence , squeezings, whatever you want to call it in their juices originally and I can say they had the best juices on the market in 2009 bar none. Then in their fear of the FDA they stopped using natural tobacco essence and went to flavorings that were really bad. They eventually recovered and I wouldn't doubt that the new juice may have gone back to a similar recipe because his description sounds very similar to their original Tennessee cured tobaco juice. They didn't age it back then though :)

Hmmm, I don't have any issues with a juice supplier trying to set itself apart through creative marketing...that's what every company tries to do with its advertising. Some are more successful than others (or their writers are better). Is it hype...sure...but so what? As with all things, caveat emptor...it's up to the buyer to decide! For me, the real proof is in the taste of the juice...and the reviewer in the video said it tasted damn good...so I bought a bottle on the strength of this (d*mn you @Darth Vaper for starting this thread :D). Was it aged in whiskey barrels? I don't know but absent any evidence to the contrary, I'm inclined to believe it was. Did this aging process impart a flavor to the juice? Since we're talking juice and not liquor, no one can say definitively that it did or didn't.

FWIW, under US statutes, bourbon whiskey has to be made from a grain mixture consisting of at least 51% corn that is aged in new, charred oak barrels - - there is no specified duration for the aging period. It's primarily produced in Kentucky but is also made in Tennessee (e.g., Jack Daniel's) although the makers there choose not to call it bourbon...but they could if they were so inclined as their products fit the characteristics of bourbon production (Bourbon whiskey).

We're all entitled to our own opinions, this just happens to be mine...
