Anyone have a Fiber internet connection here in Thailand?
I'm looking to upgrade, currently with TOT and not really had any issues with them.
I saw they have a 20/7Mb package for 700B or 750B with iPTV but as it's all in Thai I'm not too sure what's what.

I asked for a service report a few days ago, still waiting to hear back from them.

I have True fiber (18mbps down and 2mbps up) and I am really happy. When I do a speedtest it is more like :

    For 700thb a month I can't really complain :)

    @lordofthedread You're in CM right?

    Currently I only have 10 down / 0.5 up.

This has puzzled me for years but I get 5 down / 0.5 up downstairs and also upstairs in the main bedroom from their supplied wall sockets.
Several years ago I ran a cable from the bedroom wall socket, through the roof, into a side bedroom because my house is like a bunker and that room was almost impenetrable to WiFi.

I get 10Mb on the point I added :chinrub:

Anyway, just interested to know what speeds people are getting. 20 down would be nice but the 7 up would be more appealing to me. Great that you're getting those advertised speeds.
Is it consistent? With no bandwidth cap?

Consistent and no bandwith cap, they also offer higher upload speeds (up to 100 down / 20 up if I'm correct) but that's of course more expensive.

I'm open to switching providers but I thought to stick with TOT for the time being. As mentioned the 20/7 package for 700B (750B with iPTV) is very appealing as it's only 50-100B more expensive than what I currently pay.

How much was the installation fee with True?

    Cheers!

Fiber is now at the same price as regular ADSL but it is not as widespread yet but yes I think 699thb / month is a very god deal for 30-40Mbps, when I got my first internet line in Thailand I had 128kbps (8 years ago but still).

    De rien mon ami :)

Darn . . . seems I am paying too much for too little. I need to look into all this.

3BB 30/3 VDSL here. Envy your local ping speeds. I have to hop out across the island. I've read in a couple places that speedtest can be pretty inaccurate (flash-based?) and for a more accurate test internationally, better to use TestMy.net Broadband Internet Speed Test By default from here it chooses HK for a test but see you can choose from a small handful of other servers in different regions (very top of page test servers). Also has multithread and tests that will run over the course of hours I think.

Anyway, here are my results of speedtest.net (Thai server) and TestMy.net Broadband Internet Speed Test (HK):
