another meet up?

so as i am going through the threads and noticing a few newbies, and also realizing that i have a couple other members in PM's talking about meeting up, I was thinking it might be a good time to offer a grand old meet up. the date that comes to mind is April 5th. three weeks away which is enough time to plan without being too far in advance and since it is a week before everyone leaves for Songkran I would imagine most people would be in town.

i would be happy to travel down into the city if someone has a decent suggestion on a place that is vape friendly. though I do happen to have a nice spacious house that would more than accommodate, offer coiling space and supplies, maybe set up a dripper juice tasting area, and have a battery charger on standby if any out of towners want to join, i may even be able to throw a fresh set of sheets on the guestroom bed. the only problem for some might be location which is out near Fashion Island (25k north of central BKK).

So I am just throwing it out there, if i get some bites then I will work to set something up. If not then your not cool enough to hang out with me anyway

Leaving for Isaan and SongKran in a week or so. Would have loved to make it for this one, I was pissed enough that I missed the last one.

they are more than welcome. if we start before dark there is a park in the complex they can run around in.

if you use the tollway, from Onnut its only about 200 baht plus one toll (40 baht) 45 minute drive.

considering its saturday, i would imagine from MBK it would be about 250 + tolls and not much more than an hour.

if you return to the city in the evening your looking at getting anywhere in the city for between 200-300 baht no tolls required. i have jumped in taxis near asok on a friday/saturday late night and got back in 35 min no toll 180 baht.

that sounds good to me. looks like a nice central location as long as there is no issue with a handful of vapors letting off some steam

the only advantage of having it at my place or anyone else's place for that matter is being able to set a few things up for trying different juices and devises.

once we have a few more people jump in we can settle on a place.

 

Obviously I'd prefer Downtown Bangkok. I'd say Hemingways in probably a good idea. They let you vape at the bar since its semi-outdoors, they have parking, no police should be walking in there, its around 50 meters from both the BTS and MRT, and very close to the Expressway. Food is pretty good, and they have a reasonably priced Happy Hour. Clean bathrooms as well.

Personally, I think we should plan for it when redhotchilli gets back from Spain. Then she'll have no excuses for not showing up this time.
