another Kanger dud

got a new Kanger mini protank 2 today from fasttech--fail

thats 4 for 4 of my kangers

Kanger evod--worked ok for 1 day--then chronic leaking
Kanger Protank 3---little vapor then keaking
Kanger MIni Protank--chronic leaking after after a few hours
Kanger Mini Protank 2 too much air and little vapor

Ill give these another try later but for now they will sit idle. I like the styling of the kangers but nothing but problems for me.

My 2 30s's and all 6 of my nova vivis and a bunch of clearizers all work fine

took a buddy to bypass shop yesterday so he could buy his first ecig--even after warning him he bought a kanger protank 3 with a new svd and sure enough-- little vapor--juice in mouth--very poor first experience

 

if you havent seen my other post, here is how to fix the protank3(should work for others also), pull out coil head, take silicone seal off, pull off steal top, place a 2mm silica wick on top, put it back together, the leaking should stop well mine works great now, but still it is a fail from kanger not making it work out of the box.

 

how much silica wick to put? Just place a wick on top of the one that is in there already? let it hang out the sides a little?

 

Yes same size as the ones allrdy there.

 

hmm-its actually working so far--still vapor output should be better--the tank seems to heating up--what does that mean?? too many watts
btw what is the diff between upping watts or volts??

 

i run it a 7.5 w, upping watts does the same as upping volts, it watt mode it is just using ohms law to calc. the volts.

 

I have a
Kanger Unitank Mini (the top filling) never had any gurgling, leaking in the them so far
the vapor aint too much thou, the taste is medicore as well, so nothing really special, but also no major downturns

 

mine are bottom filling protank minis--have not tried the unitanks

 

Not sure I would store urine in them either if the are that leaky.

 

ahh okay well i read the same from the Aspire BDC coil that most of the replacement coils dont work at all, i think Todd made a video on how to rebuild them

 

i rebuild my protank 2/3 coils with pre made nr/r/nr nichrome wire(2.5ohms) i got from fasttech, works great, i use 3 mm silica.

 

Protank 3 was my first tank, and the experience was terrible!

Haven't looked back since getting my aspire bdc though, now the protank just gathers dust ...

 

So far the solution provided by Mash is working. Was working ok after I added that extra wick last night--the tank sat all night and it is still working this AM--no leaking. I also read that the bottom fed kanger tanks should be stored upside down to avoid leaking.
