1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

    IT's CHRISTMAS!

Or at least it feels like it! My 'Pro' kit came this afternoon (I'm sure there will be someone, so - Try not to drop your provari+kfun laughing while reading that 'pro' bit :p ... you know what I mean! .. newb+ / pro-).

I've seen a few people joining here after me, so thought I'd leave my first impressions on the items I got from Micky for other newbies trying to work out what to purchase (and just to, you know, kill time while chain vaping via pass-through waiting for the egov to charge :) ).

    Ego-V V3 Battery -
Came with enough charge to start vaping right away. Ended up draining the thing completely without noticing until it turned itself off ... then I kind of face-palmed and went duh - variable voltage. Really makes a difference in keeping the vaping experience 'even' - I hadn't even realized that I used to register the colder smaller vape my old stardust would dwindle to as time to plug the charger in!

Build quality is good, fire button rattles slightly but not a deal breaker - still clicky :) Menu is super easy just 2 buttons +/- and no fluff. I was originally going to go for an iTaste vvv3 but after watching some video reviews the whole innokin patented 'puff counter pop-up spam' in the menu system really put me off! The manual omits mentioning it, but you can also hold down the '-' button for a few seconds to see the ohms count of your atty ... pretty important stuff to forget to put in the manual!

Pass-through ability works fine and is an obvious and huge plus for anyone that works in I.T! The cyborg amalgamation of nicotine addict and computer is now complete!

    Protank 3 -
I went less than a day before opening this thing the wrong way round: drowning my atty, and nicotine coating my crotch like I was about to booty call a chain-smoker who'd gone 3 days cold turkey! So (imho) the filling process is a real pain, the whole thing will explode juice if you open it the wrong way round or undo the wrong thread ... both newb mistakes I know, but that's what I am :) That said I'm definitely liking the cooler vape from having the atty at the bottom, and the high airflow means I can take a big vape straight to the lungs (like I did on analogs) rather than having to chew on it first ... but obviously that's a plus for me just out of personal preference, might be a negative for you since you need to take pretty long drags to get much vape.

So I think I'm going to be an airy bottom feeder type vaper! But not sure if I can recommend protank 3. If I was going to order my start up supplies from Micky again I would probably have put another 1k baht into getting a couple of different clearos and trying them all out to get a better feel for what's available. Aspire BDC and the unitank at least will probably be part of my next order.

    Halo E-Juice
Most expensive juice in the shop! So was really looking forward to vaping it ... I still am, but now I realize I will probably have to wait a week to do so. Using the stuff straight out of the box tasted like kissing my granny on Christmas day when shes got her expensive 'special occasion' perfume on. I have the midnight apple and torque56 flavors - so can only really comment about those. Reading around it looks like these juices need to be left with the lid off in a drawer for a week to breathe before 'settling' into their proper flavors ... wish I knew that before buying lol. I'd recommend getting some cheaper liquids that can be used straight out of the EMS box to start with. I'm just glad I still have some bubblegum type flavors from my starter kit stock to keep me going till the Halos have steeped.

Also just a quick note about Micky: I ordered this stuff late on a friday afternoon and got it Saturday! You can't say better than that - if your new here, just go ahead and order in confidence! :) If I was going to gripe it would be the fact that the box was tied up with poor quality string! ... Can I recommend packaging the boxes in something better, like say 4mm silica instead. I'm sure this will also encourage greater 'recycling' by many! J/K Thanks Micky.

Time to vape off to sleep :good night:

    Hello Amaxter.
I was thinking about getting a Protank3 thanks for the review.
Although, I have since changed my mind what with Vapermorphs saying that getting to the coils, to dry burn them is a pain in the backside. Oh yeah, and even though I have been vaping just over 5 months, I too would probably make the same mistakes as you did.
I like things to be nice and easy, because otherwise I am likely to screw it up....Lol

I almost spat my beer out after reading this...too funny :rolling laugh:

I have cheap Dekang / Feellife / Hangsen for sale if you are interested.
You know just to keep you going till your Halo is ready to be vaped.
Haha...look at me, going in for the hard sell, anyway it's in the classified section if you are interested.

    Happy Vaping :vaping:

I have just received the protank 3 from Micky as well, connected to a Vision spinner 1300mAh.

I am beginner... But my for my own experience: almost not using anymore my previous stuff Stardust V3, protank 3 is perfect for me! The only surprising thing is the size/weight of the kit, will probably keep using some times the Stardust when I like to be discrete in public places... But as a big smoker, the protank gives me a strong hit with plenty of warm vapor, quite similar to my previous cigarettes smoker experience.

Halo is one of the few juice sout there that you don't need to steep.

Sorry to tell you mate but the flavour won't get any better in my opinion.

    granny's lips it is

sorry fruit lover, need to disagree with you.:yes or no: When I got my torque 56 the flavor was not quite right. i gave it a good shake and stuck it in a drawer for about 36 hours with the cap off and it made all the difference (i mentioned this on the halo thread). :bravo:

give steeping a shot amaxter, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain if it works for you :vaping:

I left the tops off the halo juices overnight and the torque56 is pretty vapable now! :vaping: Throat hit is good and the flavor is growing on me. Will try the apple again in a few days ...

Unfortunately the atty I drowned gave up the ghost a few hours after that incident - it was the 1.7(8?) ohm one from the protank 3 set and now if I plug it in the egov it is reading as anywhere from 5-10 ohms! Needless to say the thing wont even fire. Not sure if this is a short circuit or what. So now back down to 1 atty with zero in reserve. Time to email Micky and actually plan my order better this time! :)

Thanks Chilli, but if I need to put another order in my Micky anyway I'll just grab some random juices at the same time.

I kind of knew what to expect with size / weight, but my wife didn't, she thought I was just getting another little thing like the stardust. When I finished assembling the egov + protank I went into our room and excitedly showed it to her ... Well the look of confusion / fear (/curiosity?) on her face said it all! I think her first thought was that it was one of those 'deviant foreigner' sex toys! When there can be that kind of confusion then yep - definitely not good for stealth :rolling laugh:

... If I ever get a provari + kfun she may well jump out a window and make a run for it!

    Ah ah ah !!!

For sure the size difference is quite big... after that, for which purpose you will use it is strictly personal

Well I kind of asked for that reply really didn't I! Sorry to lower the tone of the board :p

After my last post I ended up finding the Gripper Stealth Mod via vapor Joes blog ... now that's what you'd want for real ninja vaping on airplanes or at the hospital etc!

Also, If you read the review section on the Madvapes page one of them completely cracked me up ...

... So yeah, could also be the mod of choice for stealth vaping in bed without the mrs freaking out as well! :p
