For a mech mod, you can build crazy low sub-ohm coils. 4.2v at .14 ohms is 30 Amps, but if you don't plan on going that low, it might not be necessary for you.

As resistance goes down, the Amps running through your setup increase.

A 1.0 ohm coil on a fully charged (i.e. 4.2v) battery will be 4.2 amps. Amps increase fast as you go below 1 ohm.

This is because Amps = voltage/resistance. Try plugging a few numbers into this ecig calculator . You only enter two numbers (one of which will be 4.2 for volts), then hit calculate.

You need to know the "max discharge" aka "max continuous discharge" of your batteries. For the 30A it is 30A. I'm not sure of the top of my head it is for the 2250mah. I'd also leave a bit of a safety margin as well :)

    -------

If you are not doing really low-ohm then 30A is not the best choice as they run down much faster than higher mah batteries.

It certainly won't hurt anything, but you might as well just get something with a higher capacity so you can vape longer without recharging.

I don't think such a beast exists, or will for a very long time. Check out the battery info on tasteyourjuice. It seems that the smaller the battery, the lower the amp limits.
