1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

    Hello everybody,

Just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to the members of this forum for all the great advice and help. Especially want to thank all the local vendors here that have not only supplied quality products but also with great customer service!

It's been 3 months today that I went from a 20 a day smoker (15 years) to just vaping. Over the past few months, i've gone from 16 mg Nic to 12, and for the last few weeks it's now down to 6 mg - still vaping an average of 3 ml a day.

I remember my first post on this site, when I was content with an E-Go - and someone, think it might of been pattsvaper, recommended and posted a photo of a Nautilus Mini on top of an iStick 30W which at the time I thought 'that looks way to heavy/complicated/stupid for me'... however that's the setup that has kept me of the smokes for so long - plus with the hollowed out metal tank and the silicone sleeve - looks pretty f'ing cool :)

I hope to reduce my Nic intake further down to 0, and hopefully quit vaping somewhere down the line, but for now I'm happy to be off the smokes.

    :thank you:

Did you not get along with the Ego-C and the tank system-don't get me wrong I realise that the Nautilus and istick 30w is a much more 'advanced' vape, but mainly due to the available technology at the time, I used the Ego-style systems for at least 2 plus years and found them infinitely better than cigarettes-not saying that I wouldn't have jumped at a Nautilus or an Atlantis way back then , but just saying that the old Ego and tanks was a good workhouse for the time.
Anyway, glad that you've found something that stops your smoking habit.
Good luck with the quitting completely-that might be a little harder, but I only say that because I personally see little or nothing wrong with vaping (apart from the expense)

@haybilly - I did enjoy the Egos for a while, used to use them when I went out. However quite a few times they failed on me - would just decide to leak everywhere and leave me stranded. Still, a good transition from ciggies to e-cigs.

@Siam Diesel - My sense of smell came back really quick after I quit and I guess i'm feeling better however in this current extreme Thai heat it's hard to feel great ;)

Congratulations @tommyr23. I also did some time with the Ego's and did not like them to much. Lucy that i found some Vivi Nova tanks I think state of the art then and a regulated cheap mod, but it keept me of the stinkies. Today with all the stuff available, it will be a lot more easy for a newbie to keep of the stinkies, than is was for all some years ago. Fantastic that so many did make it anyway. Just keep up the spirit Tommyr23 !!!!
