Not too bad. I pulled it apart yesterday before I picked my daughter up from school. Put the chip in this afternoon.
It's not finished, the tube is currently holding everything in place.

Button rattle is 100% better now though :D

So the chip fitted in no problems?
Guess a bit of sanding down of the back black might be needed though..

My version in 18560 body, everything about it, as per my posts, was different in size, hell of a job to do....

I'm rocking my Subtank on mine at the moment,....

Had to cut the rails off.
I filed the square opening to make it slightly larger and could do with some tinkering to screw the tube on easier but apart from that is was quite simple but fiddly due to the length of the wires. I re-used the existing wires apart from the one soldered to the 510 positive which was 24ga.

As the fire button on the DNA had a lower profile I glued 1mm of a cotton bud tube to the firing pin but surprisingly didn't need it.

I would really love to do this too, but dont want to pay loads for a case and buttons, Ive been looking for a long time for nice mod cases, there not easy to find unless your willing to pay a lot.

There's not a lot of choice Mack really. Hana enclosure, generic hammond box...

I always liked the ZNA. The Cloupor version I owned was poorly finished. This one popped up on FT a couple of weeks ago for $45. I didn't care what the chip was like (it was crap) as long as the finish was good. The finish was excellent.

I'm happy with what I've got. Not overly bothered about the Temp Control TBH but of course I will try it out.

So how many wires were there to solder?
And did you just use all the same ones?
Does it have a wire going to the body of the mod like mine did?

I have one of this devices. but have a connection issue by the body it self. not by the chip.

I liked this mod. Shame there isn't a more refined version of it.

Yeah a full 18650 version with a decent chip in it, with the same kind of frame but made from a lighter better material would be great
