    So it all started here:

Zero clone by Yosen First looks... | Thailand Vapers

You can see on that Thread how it came, the strip down and so on.

The first thing is you need to make a button board for the Up Down and Fire.
Kinda easy when you have the buttons
    photo 1.JPG

I got mine from Ebay, took a week or so for them to get here:

    20 Pcs 12 x 12 x 4 3mm PCB Momentary Tactile Tact Push Button Switch 4 Pin DIP | eBay

6x6x5mm Tactile Push Button Switch Momentary Tact DIP Through Hole 4pin 100pcs | eBay

    Make sure they line up ok with the holes;

The back plate was some clear plastic I found in the office, and then just super glued the buttons on

So time to solder up the 6 wires to the dna 40 chip for the Up Down and Fire

    photo 3.JPG photo 4.JPG

Next up connect everything to the dna 40 chip

    photo 5.JPG

The earth to the body to the chip was a pain in the ass, but finally got it sorted
I did clean up the body at one point
    photo 2.JPG photo 1.JPG

It was a real hard job to get everything to fit back together, at one point the buttons didn't work but a bit of time moving things around i got it all to fit and tightened the grub screws up

The buttons feel really nice to use...
Popped in a battery to see if it would work
    photo 3.JPG

    Sure does...

A few more pictures with it sat next to the ipv mini
Oh the Subtank is made perfectly for the Zero

    photo 2.JPG photo 4.JPG photo 5.JPG

Knowing what I know now with this last pictures I will show you, you really need to protect the casing with some cardboard and take as all the time working on it will do this to it...It's like a brushed finish so maybe I can polish it all up so a polished finish, if anyone has any ideas about this let me know
    photo 2.JPG

It doesn't look too bad unless you're in the light and then it's not as bad as the picture..

I didn't use the USB port as it was all too tight for a non professional mod maker like me, no chance I'd have been able to get the usb in there...
Doesn't matter as the battery is so easy to take out...

Well that's it, 2 dna 40 mods done....
    Time for a rest..

Would I do another Zero mod up with the 40 chip?
Not a chance, one time was enough for that, so don't anyone start getting ideas about getting the zero clone and sending it to me...lol...

Nicely done, just the vapor flask to go! I'm just waiting for one with allen heads :D

I sent my Zero back earlier in the week, still debating whether to get a replacement or a refund, I'm sure if I get a replacement they will check it thoroughly (I'll ask for pictures of it with all my attys I bought from them, like they asked from me!).

Then you can send me some buttons and wire ;)

    Anyway.. well done!

I think that will be my next one....

    I say go for it...
Once it's got this 40 chip in it's great, like you say get them to check it first for the 510
Also no you know to cover the body when working on it..lol..

Got a few hundred of the buttons, and shit load of wire, so yes just hit me up...
    Thanks mate...
Everything had been sat there for a week..
I was kinda scared with the 6 hole pins for on the board and it looked so hard to solder, but my new very thin tip solder iron from FT arrived late last week so I had no more excuses..

I had a free day at the office yesterday so just went for it...

ZNA full body 18560 have only seen it here:
    $61.25 ZNA zna50 Mechanical Mod - Silver(18650)
It's not in stock but it wasn't when I wanted it, i added Doris the main person of Focal to my Skype, told her I wanted it and she sold me one...

But, don't hold be to this, I might, just might let my ZNA full body with dna 40 chip in it go soon...
Not sure yet, but i don't really use it and have plenty of other things on the go....so maybe you could buy mine

    Zero best price is FT
$69.91 ZERO Modz Style Variable Wattage APV Box Mod - 7-30W / 1*18650 / stainless steel / grey at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

These are the latest versions however still a few with 510 problems
Best to buy it then send in a ticket telling them to fully check it with as many atties as possible before sending it you.
Then even if it's bad great thing with FT you can send it back...

I missed that part of your post as it was in my quote

Well the thing was i needed that space where the usb would have been for my dna 40 chip.
With the extra button board, and how tight it is to get everything in there, I couldn't have done it.
Like i said, maybe someone who has been doing this stuff before could, but i needed all the space in there.
I also read on another Forum that a guy had the same problem....so I am not alone with it....

    Well freak me rotten...
Got a dodgy dna 40 chip..
The battery level has been full since i stated vaping it, at o.5 ohms 23 watts
I thought , that is strange, so I took out the battery and popped it on the ivp mini, shows half power, then put it back in the zero dna 40 and it shows half power...
Then as soon as you hit the power button it goes back up to full level on the battery indicator

All that freaking time doing all of this and i get this....
What a pain in the ass.....
