Wismec RX200 & Smok TFV4 Atty = Voided Warranty!

    But the RX200 has a spring loaded pin to cope with slight variations. Wismec are taking the p*ss with this customer, unless the mod is sold with a "Do not use with Smok tanks" warning sticker.

    Apparently, not enough to cope with the TFV4...seems a bit dodgy to me, too!

    Was thinking of getting one of these today, but as I've read so many people having problems I decided not to get one,,,,and get something different.. :wink:

    The verbatim text of an email exchange with Wismec customer service. Even when you DON'T own a TFV4 they try to weasel out of warranty claims by using it as an excuse!

    Your reply is less than satisfactory. You assume incorrect information and before I even request warranty service, you tell me my warranty is invalid. I think I will cancel the order I have with a supplier for a Wismec DNA200.

    the length of the TFV4's thread is 4.8mm, but our device could support 4.6mm max.

    If you thread the atomizer on for a long time, it will damage the 510 thread of our device.

    Sorry that our warranty is invalid for this situation.

    I use multiple different atomizers: Kanger subtank mini, Kayfun V4, Taifun GT II, Squape Reloaded. They all have problems screwing into the RX200. The coil is not the problem. The thread in the RX200 510 connector is the problem.

    These atomizers all fit perfectly into my other two mods and into my ohm readers.

    I do not get an “atomizer short” message from the RX200. I will try to take a photo of the thread, but I do not have a macro lens for my camera

    may I ask what kind of atomizer are you using on the device?

    Did you change another coil or atomizer? Maybe the thread of your atomizer is not compatible with the 510 thread.

    Besides, try to take out the atomizer to see weather the "Atomizer Short" message sill exists.

    Could you please take a picture of the 510 thread?

    What I don’t really understand is why my three week old RX200 is no longer usable due to a bad 510 connector...

    I’m sure you have many of these parts. Would it be possible to send me one if I pay for shipping? It’s a lot easier and cheaper to send me the 510 connector than me sending my RX200 back to you for warranty replacement.

    Subject: RX200 replacement 510 connector

    My three week old RX200 has stripped the 510 connector on the first few threads. Is it possible to send me a new 510 connector? I’m an electrical engineer and have a BGA rework station so I can fit myself.

    I understand that this will of course void my warranty.

    What's more, is that the 510 connector on the RX200 is a really shoddy piece of work....a warranty issue just waiting to happen
