1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Will it ever be legal?

Can you see vaping ever being legal here in Thailand? Are there any groups currently trying to change the law?

Seems like a strange law considering the high number of people who vacation here.

    I don't think it will....
Back many years ago we were kinda left alone though, importing was a bit risky but vaping in public was fine, but then they cracked down and it became what it is now...
More money in their pockets with fines though....
The Tobacco Authority of Thailand's (TAT), previously the Thai Tobacco Monopoly is worth a lot of money much more than vaping....

I wonder whether the reason for the legality of vaping is because of the niche uses of the equipment. It is easy to think outside of the box and imagine various volatile aromatics being vaporised in addition to nicotine. This might play a part in the decision that was made? Either way, hopefully on the ground, for regular usage, a blind eye will usually be turned. Such a great way to be rid of inhaling the burning material from cigarettes.
