1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

my first official Rhyme of TE :D

i just read that on another forum ..
hence was wondering cause when i vape its kinda normal for me that most of my mods get pretty hot around the atty, not neccessarily the battery but my RDA or Aqua attys can get very hot so that i stop vaping it for a while cause its must not nice to burn the fingers while vaping, so am i doing something in general wrong here ... or is it kinda normal that attys can get hot during vaping

Yep, I chain vape hard and my KayFun gets bloody hot....my iClear 30s used to get kinda ward too.
Also at the top of the mod where the kick is it will get hot.

The only time I would worry if it got hot towards to bottom of the tube or the button.
Once happened to me before, i just took it outside and left it there for a while
I guessed it was the battery so I threw it away.

+! to what has been said. The atomizer is supposed to get hot because there are heating coils in there. However, if you feel the heat emanating from elsewhere (i.e. not just dissipated heat from the atty, but like the bottom button alone is getting hot) is when you should start paying attention. I run my atty's hot (sub ohm) and I do notice that there is heat coming from the button at times, and then I chill with using it for a bit to avoid over draining the batteries.

If the button gets hot, it may need a good clean.

If my mod is very hot, its heat from atty coming through the 510 connection & base of atty. I often unscrew the mod to check the battery is cooler (ie only slightly warm) than the mod. If the battery was v hot I'd be concerned. If its cooler I just leave it for a few minutes and carry on.
