The ohm checker seems to be off, when i make a coil it says 0,24 and My vape says 0,27-0,29

A real mech mod can pretty much handle anything you throw at it. The things to look for are what the batteries and RDA/RTAs can handle. For example:
-An LG HE4/Samsung 25r can safely handle a 0.27 ohm set of coils (and that's with a 20% margin for safety. Anything lower, and you will overheat the battery and risk venting. Some batteries (such as the Sony VTC 4 and 5) can go as low as 0.18 ohms.
-Some RDA/RTAs cannot handle the heat produced by the coil. A Magma or Stillare trap a lot of heat. Even if I am within the safety range of the battery, my dripper can get too hot to use, heating up the firing pin and the battery. A sub-ohm coil(s) need lots of air to function properly.

Because real Sony VTC 4 and 5 batteries are pretty much non-existant now, I have adjusted my vaping to fit within the parameters of the batteries I have. That means no coils lower than 0.27 ohms. I shoot for 0.3 ohms to allow a safe margin of amps, thus lowering the risk of my battery overheating.

This is always worth posting again:

Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

The best thing for learning about wire, battery tolerance, and coils. It's even available in app form for your mobile. Most mech-heads use it religiously.

I use steam engine for My coiling also :)
So, lets see here IF i got this..

An LG HE4/Samsung 25r can safely handle a 0.27 ohm set of coils..

So lets say i build a coil thats 0.47ohm that wont affect the battery in a negative way then, it will be more secure than 0,27???

It depends on the battery. If it is an LG HE 2 or 4, Samsung 25r, or Sony VTC 4 or 5, then yes.

You can, but mech mods perform best at the lower end of the ohm scale. I personally wouldn't go higher than 1.5 ohms.

With 25r batteries, your safe range is 0.27 ohm and up. You'll be fine!

I'd believe the ohm checker...it's reading lower and it's the lower ohm coils that can be a problem for your batteries.

Yes, you can. Higher ohms is usually not an issue on mechs. I run mine around 1 ohm or so...

Your ohm checker is probably more accurate than the My Vape.

Because your mods are not dedicated ohm meters. A few things can affect the reading of a mod when it checks ohms.
