I know a lot of you have Vapor Sharks of your own now, so this may be of interest to someone. I've replaced my battery once already, and last week the spring in the switch broke. Ordered another switch from VS for $5.99, my sister will be sending it tomorrow, but in the mean time I figured I would spruce it up a bit. Paint was looking pretty rough so I said to hell with it, let it soak for a few hours in some paint thinner and took it all off. Sanded it down a bit, hit it with a brass wheel on the Dremel, then switched that out for a cotton wheel with some jeweler's rouge. Hopefully in a week or so's time I'll have a new switch to pop into the shiny little beast.

I love how it looks now, this is what I was hoping "Gunmetal" would look like.

Hmm, was wondering what it looked like nude...

Mine has a few bumps and dings - not to mention peeling from where I put a wrap on it for a second or so and decided I didn't like it, only to find the wrap had taken with it a sizeable chunk of paint....

Yeah, mine was in pretty much the same shape. The sanding took off most of the dings, just a few on the corners now. I love that they etched the logo, it looks great like this. The pictures don't do it justice. If you want to do it for yourself I can walk you through it, it kind of fits together like a puzzle but is really easy to take apart.

It looks great Ryan! It really matches up well with your SS tank. I think you must have a one-of-a-kind VS now. :very good:

It looks like new . . . . I remember how shabby (lol) and well-used your VS was at the Pattaya Meet-up. :vaping:

I wish I could say that, but I got the idea off of the ECF Vaporshark thread. One guy did it, but he took all the ridges of and made it totally smooth. Personally I like all the features, and I'm especially happy that the etching was deep enough to withstand a light sanding. You can still see the + and - markings too.

Besides, it may be rare now but I know all you guys are gonna polish yours after seeing how good mine looks.

I guess a Dremel is on the (credit) cards some time in the near future.........

Was also thinking of doing my Provari, as it is also looking a bit worse for wear. And I had seen a post somewhere - on some forum - where someone had done it - and it looked darn good....

Easy solution, get a can of spray paint and spray that area black, then sand off the excess and polish it all up.
