    Can't be bothered to learn the physics about a smoke detector or alarm atm.
    All i know is from physical experience
    On a ship there are two devices in a cabin. One is a fire alarm which is connected to the ships fire detection system and will set of an alarm on the bridge if it's activated and on is a local smoke detector which sounds a nasty loud alarm if set if. Vaping seems to be able to set of the second one more easy which made me jump out of my chair a couple tines to shut it down.
