Vaping in Bangladesh

Currently on another short assignment in Dhaka and thought it useful to share what is happening in the vaping scene here.

So Dhaka has a population of about 15 million. Vaping is legal. According to one individual who manages a vape shop only about 9,000 vapers exist but the number is beginning to grow rapidly with the vast majority living in Dhaka. Most are the yuppie type--young, middle class, educated, aspirational and on-the-move.

Visited 3 shops. Minimal variety of stock (e-vic mini available at all three) but enough overall range of items to satisfy. All assured the gear was genuine and pointed out the scratch check ability. A couple of places will order any model one wants--though clearing customs can take a long time. All had plenty of imported e-juice varieties--but expensive. No local varieties. DIY apparently has not taken off yet.

When leaving the country last time a sticker on the check-in desks advised that batteries should be packed in carry-on and displayed a vaping device as an example.
