1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

@ Hui Chyr: I think that you don't really realize the situation, we speak about prohibition.

Yeah, I understand the standing law on e-cig.
But I'm taking abt meeting up for a drink ... to meet with ppl of same interest. That is prohibited too?

WOW ... from the feedback I get here, it feels the prohibition is stricter than I thought.
Maybe I shld take extra precaution. However, can I bring my own mod and tank and juices for my own vaping pleasure?

You can bring your kit, just let it be gear you wouldn't mind leaving here. Don't travel around late at night in Bangkok by car. There are police checkpoints performing just short of cavity searches on all the major roads after a certain time. Don't walk around blowing huge clouds in public. Be careful in bars and in bar areas. Otherwise, be as discreet as possible. If you do happen to be unlucky, be aware that the fines may be steep.

How abt at the airport? Will they confiscate my kit after scanning my luggage?
    Do they have the right?

They have the right to do whatever they want, it is their country.

As long as your kit is completely broken down entering and exiting the airport it is unlikely you will have a problem. However, you must assume the risk that if you become one of the unlucky you may/will lose your kit, any accessories, and/or possibly levied a costly fine. I would put the risk at a low probability, but low isn't impossible.

I really enjoyed and miss the carefree vaping in KL with vape shops everywhere. It gave me high hopes if Thailand ever changes their legislation.

It is too weird. How countries and government is responding to vaping?
It's clearly the safer way than cigarettes and yet they banned or try to restrict it.

Well, it looks like vapemeet is impossible. I'll just go for my vacation without my mod and ejuice.
Thanks to all whom advised me. It's just not worth going thru the trouble ... there are many other markets to focus on.

Lot's of gear readily available here...and juice in your shaving kit won't be a problem. Most of us travel in/out of here regularly with gear & juice and have not had any problems. YMMV :)
