1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Thanks for the replies guys as i said i believe there is more to this story than meets the eye ,i think what has happened is they have asked if he had anything to declare at the border and he said yes ,i may be wrong but i couldnt see them doing this as it would affect consumer /tourists if every one who was going somewhere else had there gear taken just simply because they were connecting in singapore for an onward flightto a country that may well have vaping laws like england or even here in australia .

If you have a porn DVD with you and you tell them yes I have they will fine you $ 500, even if you are only on transit. They are not interested in hearing your or my opinion about their laws at all, and they are not affected by anyone pointing at Singapore.
If you are discretely and move ahead there are many things possible, as long as you keep it low profile and for yourself.

It is possible that he got hit with secondary screening just after getting off the plane in SG. This has happened to me a few times on inbound flights from BKK (but not recently). I have no idea what they're looking for but they run everybody through metal detectors and all carry on luggage gets put through the x-ray scanner. This is why I always put my vape gear in with my laptop power supply, etc., before deplaning.

Otherwise, when you're transiting Chiangi, you have to go through a security scan before boarding your next flight but that's it...you don't pass through SG Customs because you never enter the country officially.

I've had no problem coming in and out with vape gear. I even got searched by the police with my Pico, and they just looked at it, asked how much it cost and where I bought it (Soi 5) and let me on my way
