The Samsung 30Q is only a 15 amp battery. It will not stand up to high amp applications. I would not recommend using these batteries in a high powered mod. Definitely do not use in a mech mod. For lower amp draw applications the extra 500 mah could be nice but I would recommend true 20 amp batteries at minimum on your next purchase.

I did not realise that but fortunately I was able to change the order. Cheers, @Lotta

I only use authentic LG or Sony high drain batteries.

Good price at Fasttech, and those should not be in the Embargo.

    Quick battery guide.
Sickly green or turd brown, matte finish, some stencilled numbers. OK to vape.
Bright colours, glossy finish, big numbers. OK for flashlight.

It's only a personnal preference, might be. I DIY high power led flashlight and understand a bit re batteries. I read a review/test. The Sony vtc4/5 and HE4 are the top picks.

Good batteries for sure...as long as they're authentic. But so are the Samsung 25r & 30q and the LG HG2...can't go wrong with any of them. :)

The Samsung 25R & 30Q are also the top 10 in that review/test.

According to which review you look at and who you believe the 25R and HE4 are too close to call. Some reviewers give a slight edge to the HE4 and some to the 25R. The review needs to be recent as Samsung changed the 25R slightly about 8 months ago and it has taken a little while for the stock to rotate. Most refer to the new version as the 25R5. Either way both are safe batteries for our uses and it boils down to personal preference.

This testing result might be a good reference.

That is a good overall view but the more detailed parts of testing go into more detail about voltage drop, temperatures, and battery life based on detailed testing. From this they can also estimate how many charge/discharge cycles to expect.
This is where the differences start to show. Amp rating is very important to us but not the only factor in choosing a battery. You may also notice Mooch has "downgraded" the VTC4 to 23 amps due to temperature rise at higher amps.

It does me good to see the vape industry self regulating researching to help people vape safely. Battery testing is possibly the most important area to research due to the potentially dangerous and immediate effects of misuse

Good to see Sony are keeping on the side of caution with the discharge rates as normal. Unlike other companies unfortunately.
