Just my personal experience, and the experience of people on the Vapepit forum (who are not too impressed with the purple Efests either).
Not very scientific, I know. Could well be wrong too.

As a newbie, I checked out Illumin, a US company mentioned on this forum. Sony VTC5, 9.99$ each, shipping to Thailand, about 13$ for a pair. Seen a lot cheaper from China on Ebay UK, but not sure I want a firecracker so close to my face.

It looks like Andrew doesn't ship these batteries anymore by airmail.

Now I wanted to order 12 x 18350 and 2 x 18650 batteries but I think that is not going to work!

I still have enough 18350 batteries but wanted to replace most of them with new ones because most of them are getting old.

The 18650 batteries I wanted for a mod that only can take button top batteries, I can find some at FastTech (I think that in 2016 they cannot send them either anymore, because they only have one carrier that does) but the best one I could find is not for a mod I think...

It is for a 1.8 ohm coil... Some advice needed here please...

    $10.24 Panasonic NCR18650B 18650 3.7V 3400mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) (NCR18650B 3400mAh: 2-Pack, Button Top^) at m.FastTech.com - FastTech Mobile

Andrew ships only by HK Post Sea Mail...takes about 5 weeks to get here depending on when the package catches a ship. I got lucky with my first order of 350's from him...they got here in 5 days so they must've come by air.

Those Panasonics are very low drain...they'd probably work but I wouldn't chance it Illum in the US sells LG HE2 button tops and HG2 button tops. Check also NKON...they've got HG2 button tops as well as Sammy 25r button tops.

    Thanks! Great information!

I think I will try Andrew first! I really want AW batteries!
    **Updated**
I just got a pm from Andrew and he doesn't ship anymore air / sea due to restrictions on batteries, so that is a no go!

Here is the website he gave me to try it

"Please order from my official AW dealer in Singapore:

    http://www.fstoplights.com

    Thanks!
    Andrew"

OUCH...just saw this...and at S$23/each (฿575/ea) plus shipping, those AW 3000 mAh batts become bloody expensive! I've messaged him as well to see if there are any other options for us here in Thailand.

Edit: Just heard back from him...he has no other shipping options to TH. May have to source them from the US or EU for the time being.

just have to stick to Samsung or Sony or LG, or Efest Purples at a pinch--to be honest, if the guy can't be bothered to sort out a suitable shipping option for loyal customers--well, nuff said.
    **Updated**
@ A-spirit--how did you sort out the 510, and is it spring loaded--did you buy a ready to go unit and incorporate it during production [obviously, I guess] pretty neat, really.

Hmmm, you're being pretty harsh. He lives in HK and HK Post has banned the shipment of Li-Ion batteries since October...what would you have him do?
    Hongkong Post - Notices

I'm sure he has shipping options via the courier services that make economic sense for large orders of batteries, just not for consumer-sized orders. I'll just order them elsewhere from his authorized suppliers...
Bottom line, I trust his batteries and will continue to use them.

I'll have 4 LG Hg2 for sale for "cheap" as I won't be needing them when they arrive ;)

Point taken, I didn't realise they were that much better than the ones I mentioned- if I had known, I wouldn't have sold a pair of them to a fellow Vaper a couple of months back- maybe I'm mad at myself, and he got the flack.

I might be interested, Rick, especially in the 'cheap' bit.
    Let me know the score.
I am a cheapskate, after all.

^^^ If they weren't sourced directly from AW or one of his official dealers (or were sourced in TH...the nearest official dealer is in SG), they probably weren't genuine.
