sx mini m class paint issue

The grey paint on my sx mini m class comes off very easily just from fingernail scratching--under the dark grey is a lighter grey that looks ok..so im gonna have to scrap it all off. anyone else have this?

 

I don't have SX mini but this happen to my IPV Mini as well.
I scrap the colour coat out to the material surface, in beginning it seem to be okay. Nice urban look.
But after a while, metal smell come out. May be because of corrosion things.
So I wrap it again with thin film, the film that use for wrap smart phone wrapping.
You could try mate.

 

My sclass facing this problem too... Paint starting to come off... N my d2 is facing paint problem where the slots for the battery door are...

Same problem here. Black originally but now the silver underneath. Not even scratched just came off with use. I must have real rough skin. Lol it was perfect with no flaws when I bought it from a member on here though. Just thought I would put that in there for when they read this. Lol

Yes, SD is right--one of my 2 SX Minis, and I believe that it was the earlier models, had the same problem--my second one has yet to start to do it--but, it's being treated like a baby--the first one seemed to reach a point where just the edges had lost the coating and the rest was fine--I didn't do anything and just used a silicone sleeve--but, then I sold it to '@oil'--not sure if it's got any worse since he's had it, maybe he can tell us himself??

 

It's a shame because the finish on the S-Class wasn't the best (mine was pretty good but many had problems with theirs).
For $200 it's something that certainly needs to be addressed.

I'd certainly get on to YiHi about it, although you buying it for a non-MAP price may be an issue with them replacing it direct.

Maybe @Per - Pink-mule could shed some light on the subject.

 

Yes, I wonder whether that is Under Warranty?
