This is how I spend my Friday night ....

I finally unpacked my RSST and bunch of stuff I ordered incuding SS mesh 400 papers and a mini torch. I watched a bunch of Youtube videos up to this point to get ready.

I torched the SS mesh, rolled it up, coiled it and got it to fire successfully on the first try!!! I realized my SS mesh was wound too tightly and 1 or 2 too many coils so I built a second one that registered around 1.2 ohm.

Honestly it wasn't too hard ... built a third one this morning as well. Got it firing good too.

Put some juice in the tank and tried it. Very warm vaper but also a bit harsh hit.

I'm sucking on iClear 30, Smoktech carto, Boge carto and RSST to feel the difference. So far, I'm leaning on carto being the best vaping. Keeping my SVD, NZonic and Adam busy!!!

Gonna get me a dripper to wrap a silica wick ... this will probably be the best thing for home to try out various juices.

Might shop for micro drill bits and pin vice to play with the airholes.

I just played with my RSST today, had it unpacked for a few weeks.
First 2 coils burnt right out so I need to play around more, they were showing at 0.8 ohms...

Just re coiled it with different gage wire, not sure what it was though.
Pulsed it till they all glowed red, no idea what ohm it is.
I didn't do any oxidising at all, just pulsed then filled then pulsed again.

Hitting ok now, I find it works better with the little juice plug out not in.

I've seen videos done it both way ... and tried it both way. It's not really that much different as far as rolling it.

So far, I've oxidized my wick before coil-ing it. A mini torch makes it easy and fast. I've seen videos of people using lighters as well. I think the key is not to wrap the wire too tightly around the wick and evenly.

torch mesh , roll , drip juice on mesh then burn about 3-4 times and then coil.

some prefer not to oxidize at all.

If I had been at home I would have run the mesh over the gas hob before rolling it, along with the wire too.
But as i was in my office at work I just rolled it, wired it pulsed it and vaped it.
Only took 5 mins to do as the RSST are so easy.
The agga-t-2 is a lot harder to set up;......

I have been using my rebuildable for about 6 months now and although it is not quite on par compared to the iclear 30 atomisers for flavour it is far far cheaper. I use the second method but instead of using a drill bit I use a cotton wool bud stick which allows for a great fit. The next few times that I do a coil I will try just oxidising the top end of the stainless steel mesh and the "non" oxidising method as well.

Me too, but I didn't got my AGA T2 to wick, only burnt taste, and now I am out of kantahl so I have to wait for my kanthal and mesh to arrive fro US. I did exactly as Phil did but only burn taste, no hotspot, I think the mesh was bad, or to big???

Idont know what went wrong, but I used the mesh that came with it, 40x40 and I did exactly the same as Phil, and I had no hotspot, but i was fiddeling so much that I pop the coil 3 time so I run out of kantahl.
