1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Hi, and forgive me if those had been discussed before:

    1. Is it safe to vape while charging (USB)? Don't have a seperate charger yet.
    2. What is an average life span of a coil? How often do you replace it? Not into RBA yet.
    3. Is it OK to mix 6mg and 12mg juices? Told ya those questions are gonna be stupid.
    4. Is it OK to keep my atomizer in the tank filled with juice overnight?

If your mod allows vape while charge yes no problem. Try it and see if it works

Coil life will differ with type of coil power used juice used. And how much juice you vape.

Normally though you can look at 1 week minimum I have heard of three weeks as well.

Yes you can mix juice of different nic levels

Yes you can keep a full tank. Some may leak so take off your mod and keep upright for one night to check.

    1. I don't know if this is universally "safe", my preferred method is to change then use, which I think is "safer".

    2. Depends on eliquids you're using, and power applied to coil. I have heard reports of 10 days plus, I have also had cotton gunked after one tank full.

    3. No problem with mixing, for equal ml of both you'd end up with 9mg.

    4. No problem, best usually to store upright.

Thanks for the storage tip, I'll keep it upright from now on. As for the coils, do you need to buy the original replacement heads or are there the universal ones? Rebuilding Cubis RBA coil seems a bit tricky for now.

YW. Authentic heads are gonna be more consistent, and probably of a higher quality. However, that's not to say the clone ones wouldn't work too.

some people like building coils, others don't. Both ways work. I'd suggest trying coil making, as it's not terribly difficult. Forum vendors will sell 1m lengths of wire, which is good for experimenting prior to buying 200m of wire ... Cotton can be bought in watsons ... A screwdriver, drill bit, screw and nail can be used to wrap coil ... Nail clippers to cut the wire ...

Can I use the same nail clippers which I use to cut my nails for cutting the wire as well?

^^That's what I use. I think it works better than wire clippers.

    1. Totally safe. There's no difference you're vaping while charging or you're using your notebook while charging - process is the same.
    2. I use the same coil for almost 4 consecutive months already. Got bored, would want to change, but the greed doesn't allow to throw a working bit out :D
    3. Any juices can be mixed in any proportions. Just beware of the strange taste effects possible.
    4. It is designed to be like that, so sure yes.

Charging while vaping is OK but USB port might wear out with continuous use. Coils can last a long time if dry burn and wash with water also, renewing wicks helps with consistent vaping gloriousness : )

The charging electronics of most vaping devices is not as safe as a separate charger. Some vendors are honest and say it in the manual: charging via USB is for energency charging only. Some others recommend using dedicated charger, which means the same.

Vaping while charging imposes an extra burden on your battery and the charging board. I think: simply don't do it, whatever the manual says.

Agree with what you say for the most part but I do have one question. Which do you think is a better/safer charger? The built in charging on a DNA device or a Trust Fire bought at the Night Market? Some companies use a better charging system in their mods than others. I would venture to say that some may be even better than your entry level Efest or Nitecore chargers.

I learned the build in DNA charger is pretty good, and it's is far superiour to a (Dis)Trustfire charger. Dicodes also has a good charging board, other high end devices surely, too. There was an interview with the owner of Dicodes on Youtube (in German) where he talked about why a $ 50 device can not have a good USB charging board since it costs 8 or 9 alone.

The entry level Efest and Nitecore chargers don't cost much more than that. I've seen them go for $10 to $20. I'm not saying they are not good, just that with standalone chargers, there are a lot of differences. Just because you have an external charger doesn't necessarily mean you have a better one than the built in charger in some cases.
