Some Eliquids May Contain Toxic.....Blah,Blah.

Ok, sorry for another link to UK Vapers but this is also an interesting thread/topic (apologies to UKVapers for stealing their stuff but we are all in this together)

This is a classic example of the way statistics very misrepresented to favour the anti Ecig lobby-in these tests, the vast majority of the flavors tested passed with zero issues- so the heading should read 'Must Eliquids are safe to vape with the exception of a very limited few flavors', instead we have almost the opposite.

You may also call it a conspiracy theory, but an graduate student, as the lead Author Hmmm, next we see an "study" by an undergraduate, and next "study" by a child in kindergarten. Just my thoughts.

 

You guys need to read this more carefully.

First of all, just my opinion from reading this, but I thought this was an objective study with an anti-ecig news source reporting.


The actual study found 3 or 5 of the 15 flavors to be linked to toxicity. Note this does't mean that it's toxic, they need much more studying to find that out. But either way, the rest of the flavors, including PG, VG and nicotine, were not found to be linked with toxicity at all.

To me this was a positive study, it reinforced to me the fact that vaping itself (just PG/VG/nicotine) isn't (known yet to be) harmful. The risks of using flavors and other factors was already known to me, although those risks aren't really well known, it's just not studied and proven as the other 3.


Maybe just the way I read it, but to me it didn't really seem that bad. I think looking into what flavors are harmful is something necessary. I sure as hell wouldn't like it if my favorite flavor is harmful, but switching flavors wouldn't be the end of the world.

 

That's basically what I said in the beginning-the heading was sensationaliat- only 3 of the 13 had any issues at all and the vast majority tested were totally clear-the way the study was represented tried to make it seem that there were problems, in fact for me since I don't use any of the problematic flavors, this was all good news:the title should have read 'the vast majority of eliquids are totally agree to vape

Notice that studies done in the state of North Carolina could possibly NOT be biased... but... think it might be a safe bet there may be an invisible hand or anywhere from 23,000 to 230,000 of them depending on which source you cite for the number of people employed by the tobacco industry in North Carolina at work behind the scenes.
