I have ordered evic vtc mini with cubis and tron-s tank, Nitecore D2 and D4 charger with 4 x LG HG2.

What is the recommendation for a backup 2nd mod?

Current vaping gear is Subvod toptank nano kit, endura t18, ego one vt and aspire premium kit will be here tomorrow.

I think that's quite a personal choice depending on vaping style and needs. One strategy would be to buy 2 of the same mods that you consider to be the best for you. evic mini I have two, if one breaks, then the backup is the same. Plus takes same 18650 bats, so only the primary mod is a complete loss.

If you're looking at trying higher wattage tanks/builds then perhaps one of the dual/triple 18650 mods, cuboids are plentiful at the moment, and no I'm not recommending as I don't own one.

Oh, and if you have stupid money to burn, then perhaps a vicious ant which is probably the highest watt rated device out there (350w), RRP I think is around £500, battery is included ... But who needs 350w of vaping power ?

My thoughts would be reauleaux rx200. I just picked one up. The reason for the suggestion is that it takes 3 batteries. The downside is that it is heavy because it takes 3 batteries. The plus side is that it can go a long time without having to charge or change batteries because there are three of them. The evic vtc is small, and pocket friendly if you want to carry around. Since this is a backup mod, you might want to get something "a little different". There's nothing more painful to be out and about and have your mod with dead batteries. Like going out shopping, stuck in traffic, etc. With a single 18650 mod you're going to run out of battery charge fairly quickly even at a medium power level. That's great if you are at home and can swap batteries from the charger. Not so good if you are away from home. If this is a back up, then let it be a back up that when the primary mod fails, the secondary mod can last a long time until you manage to get home and swap out the batteries.

Any mod uses 2 batteries? 3 batteries mod is big.

Smok R200 use 2 batteries, same size as a pack of cigarettes.

Pretty much any box mod that can go over 100W will (need to) use 2 batteries so there're plenty of options out there.

Joyetech Cuboid, iStick 100W TC, Kanger KBox 120W or 200W, Smok R200 and so on.

Just a reminder...batteries in multiple-battery mods should 'married' to avoid any problems, i.e., new and always used in that mod only.

Yes, exactly! Battery intercourse should only be in the confines of marriage!

Except with rx200, where it's a "menage et trois" ...

My keyboard doesn't have those, and chances of me changing to French keyboard, hmmm, yes, erm, well, not that likely ...
