Quick Review II: Bakewell Non-Stick Siliconized Baking Parchment

Was in need of a method to isolate a component from potential heat exposure quick, cheap and easy. Thought of this stuff:



(or something like it) and found this brand at Villa Market. Cannot recall the price but do remember it being reasonably inexpensive... Going to guess around 70 - 90. Thb.

Cut it in strips and wrap around things, now they are resistant to 450ํF. Easy peasy.

Surprisingly the stuff has been unexpectedly useful for other things...

Lay a sheet down under work and over surfaces for protection. If you have a heat gun and have accidentally burnt things ... There's this.

Even better, if you are working with anything sticky - adhesives, epoxies but especially when trying to maintain a shape made with putty, clay, plastics, etc while attempting to handle / move / manipulate that shape. If you have tried this or something similar, you know it can be very frustrating as it is nearly impossible to not have distortion introduced to the shape, fugged up surfaces, rah rah rah... Put this in between your hands and the shape and nothing will stick to your fingers. Wont stick to the paper either. Cluster frag detangled.
