Plain Flavour after half day vaping

    The flavour became quite plain after only half day vaping even with new coil and wicking. What should I do or anything I did wrong ?

    Juice : 60vg/40pg 6mg nic
    Tank: OBS Cirus dual coil (twisted kanthal) 0.25ohm
    wattage : 35 to 40w

    Your advice is appreciated.

    Switch it up. Your tongue gets desensitized to a flavor when you hit it for a while. It's called "vaper's tongue." There are several ways to avoid it. You can:
    1. Keep two or more mods going at the same time, all with different flavors going. Just alternate between them. I have four going right now, just to see if I can do it. A bit of overkill if you ask me. But a lot of vapers I know generally keep at least two mods going. If you only have one mod, try switching tanks or drippers.
    2. Brush your teeth 2-3 times a day. From personal experience, stay away from Listerine mouthwash. That completely kills the tastebuds.
    3. I've heard that sniffing coffee beans between vapes can help. I've never tried that one.
    I do the first two. I'm sure there are more suggestions from our other posters.

    I probably overkill big time. I have three tanks with fruit or fruit/menthol for early morning to freshen my mouth, four or five with a somewhat fruity desert (say, cream tea or jam roly poly) during the day, and a couple of non fruit deserts for evening. Currently Vanilla Brioche. All subject to change without notice.
    Back to four or five though when my UK juice runs out.

    I have found that DIY mixes sometimes lose flavour if the top is left off the bottle. If this happens i add 1 more drop of flavour to the bottle.

    Maybe your taste buds are shocked by strong flavor?
    I vape the clear base, not aroms and at all times I have sence of tobacco flavor.

    I easily get vapers tongue with my dessert type vapes. I have a couple of mentholated fruit vapes and I find if I take a hit of these then I regain the taste on my dessert vapes

    The suggestions above are all good. I pretty much vape all day and have 3 or 4 different setups going to change off. If I vape on one for an extended time the flavor becomes muted. Coffee will often help me reset my taste buds.

    @Chodi : +1, coffee is good to reset, (efficient for me)
    some speak about menthol or absinthe?
    It's just hell wen your testing your DIY:chinrub:, just make a break.

    there are some good articles about agueusia.

    Never had any problems with vaper's tongue...but then, I drink coffee until the sun sets and switch between several flavors throughout the day. :)

    switch several flavor through the day is on my opinion a good way to enjoy vaping
    (other point: you're sure you have a good backup device)

    IMO, have more than one. I generally keep 2-3 drippers ready to go. Helps when I want to change flavors, have multiple flavors, or am cleaning.
