1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

I watched the vid earlier today. Pricey and a few rough edges. The menu seemed a pain to me. Not for me.

i like the fact you can control just about everything including the brightness of the screen. it would take a bit of getting used to, but i would imagine after a few days..... to a week most people would have it mastered. the only turn off is that the pin isnt adjustable. thats a big issue, otherwise i didnt agree with any of Phil's thumbs down.

5 amp max and 20 watts, I dont see why this is worth more than a 20 watt clone?

Don't have to apologize to me. To each his own.

I'm with Bad Wingman on this one. The error code thing is stupid. The screen is crap, although I'm sure it will last forever. There is absolutely no need for the battery cap to weigh that much, I'm guessing they did it just for stability, to keep the center of gravity low. At least it should stand up nicely.

They took the Provari and improved on it. The problem is they didn't improve it enough. This is going to be like the Semovar, just another also-ran.

I just watched this all the way through and found some of the fetures interesting. The heat control should provide some temperature limiting on this which probably indicates the way we need to go to regulate flavor more. I think what we need, and it would mean changing the design of Attomizers, is to vape by temp control and not Watts or Volts. The control would need a to monitor the coil temp while vaping to take into acount the air flow cooling as well. I think I might consider paying more for a device when it can do this.

Unfortunately it isn't regulating temperature at all, it's just pulsing. Temperature regulation is the way to go, but that would require a thermometer at the coil, which nothing has or will have any time soon. The "herbal" vaporizers do this, and they range in price from $300-800, and I'm sure there are more expensive ones.

I'll stick to my RBAs and RDAs. If you build properly, your temperature is already regulated because of evaporative cooling. This is a gimmick that you can achieve by pulsing the switch manually, and if you really want this feature Ovale pulls it off better.

It should regulate the temp to some degree or at least stop the unit going to high. As the pulse off in millseconds its will do this. No real control though as you cant see the result of the regulation without hooking it up to expensive equipment as shown in the video. Too expensive for me, ill wait for a DNA 30 clone if i want to do more high watt vaping. My main point is that it does indicate that temp regulation is the only acurate way to get the sweetspot for eliguid, I did then find some high end vaporisers that have a heating tank to do this but as you say, very expensive.
