My Russian is in the mail and I'd like to move away from silica for my rebuildable.

Preferably somewhere easily accessible along Sukhumvit or a big box store.

I've never seen any but a member once got some surgical cotton, but he told me they'd ran out of stock last time i asked him.

I use normal cotton from 7/11, boil it with distilled water, drain it with distilled water, then boil it a second time, with distilled water then drain it and let it dry. If I half a bag it will last me a good 6 months or so....

Someone asked about organic recently and I don't think anyone had seen it.

I'm living on the edge - A bag of ordinary cotton balls from Tesco that gets no other treatment apart from being pulled apart by me and made into wicks. With the small amount I use I reckon the bag will last 3 lifetimes. (as long as not boiling it doesn't nab me first) :very good:

I haven't found organic or surgical, just sterile cotton from my local pharmacy. Bag looks the same as ordinary cotton, only it doesn't have air holes and it has a perforated zip-lock opening, so it remains sterile until you open it. I'm getting low on my stock of boiled cotton, and honestly I'm probably not going to bother with it again.

I don't have a stove or a hot-plate so I can't boil anyway. I've been to over a dozen Pharmacies here in Pattaya and none of them sell sterile cotton, they told me it's only available in hospitals.

So, I went to Pattaya Memorial Hospital and spoke with a young Thai orderlie in the supplies department. Sure enough, he shows me a small vacuum-sealed, blister pack with 5 very small cotton balls in it. How much I ask him . . . . 15 Baht. Hmmm, 3 Baht a piece? What the hell, I'll take 10 packs. I go to the cashier to pay and she tells me I also have to pay 150 baht for the registration fee to buy from the hospital.

A bit rich I thought and I show the young guy my e-cig explaining how I just needed the cotton to make some wicks. I think he probably vapes too because he just gave me the 1 pack with no charge and tells me to come back and see him when I need some more.

I guess dripping guys and those experimenting with builds use a bit but running 2 Kayfuns with many re wicks I'm sure I'm still on the first ball of cotton I got from the pack. It's such a small amount for a wick. Id be worried about the stuff going mouldy more than I am about boiling.

I found the sterile cotton at the pharmacy named Tsuruha. I'm pretty sure there's one at Gateway Ekkamai, and maybe one at Terminal 21 (Asoke).
