I have to admit I wasn't impressed when I first tried it but I built a quick crappy coil so it did not give it any justice.

Now my brother in law is using it and loooving it ^^

I'll be tryign it out tonight. It's supposed to be 1 flat ribbon kanhal and 1 round kanthal twisted together. I've seen where you could do something like that yourself but can be pretty challenging with keeping the two types of wires evenly twisted...because of the two different styles. I examined mine and it looks extremely even and consistent.

Cool and let us know how it turns out!! Rip trippers does one and noticed some kinks in his...I don't see any kinks in the Omega wire.

 

Lol, I don't have any flat wire. To do it at the lengths in Big's picture would be extremely difficult by hand I imagine, but enough for a coil or two I think wouldn't be much trouble with a little practice.

 

I'd better give it a go then. Lotys of time here. lol Any idea of the round Kanthal gauge?

 

What is the ramp up time like? The outer wire gauges would need to be tiny I guess.

 

I'm not sure...the rating or gauge reference in the pack I have is 26G but that may be the calculated value of the two combined. I'll try to compare against straight 26 ga later.

From what I have seen online it's supposed to bring flavor improvements more so than increase in vapor but that the latter is still very good.

OK, did a quick build and first impressions are that it does produce very good flavor and its sizzles and pops very nicely (not the explosive "bang" type pop at start of vape with coil configs). Unfortunately, not the very best of comparisons as I went from a .5 ohm build to a .3 (6 wrap 2.4 mm id) with the tigre coil. Used the same juice I had been vaping for some days and for a while in the same RDA just before re-building. Flavor is really nice...better than the .5 ohm dual coil 27 ga I had in it before.

Ramp up time is not bad at all....very slight pause right at beginning but she gets to work easily fast enough for me.

Wire diameter is wider than 26 ga straight kanthal...but part of that is because of the texturing of the twisted wires.

Pics....photo 3 is ramp down in heat as full on it's just a washed out white blur. The last pic doesn't do it justice because the timing was almost immediately after firing...the more full on vapor pic was too blurry.

After looking at the pics I should have taken better attention with one of my coil's "L" legs. Casualty of trying to get her done a little too quickly.

 

so from what i've read its out of stock,, whens the next stock coming in, anyone know ?

 

If you make the same build from Kanthal A1 and from Tiger wires, the tiger wires will be a lower res. This happens everytime I tried it. I guess it is because there is another wire attached to it.
