My Tablet stopped working a few days AGAIN, just after the Warranty from the Repair ran out. I ll bet they have some time in that thing. Anyhow i am pretty much done with High Expensive Trash from Samsung with Broke Timer ... So i lurked around whats a reasonble device for a reasonable price.

I friend of mine just came back from Indonesia where he bought a XIAOMI (Mi Global Home cellphone this device freaks me out, its mindblowing awesome, very well stacked in the specs and was around 150 USD.

I checked where to get in Thailand and found a couple of online shops but there are all sold out ( or offer a stupid pricing scheme or not warranty at all - whicht didnt attract me)

Now i found out that the Chinese Manufacturer offers directly shipping to Thaland

but next problem arised, that my paypal doesnt allow me as german citizen to ship to thailand, tried several ways to overcome this but wasnt able to trick paypal into this LOL

So still doomed, anyhow my question was regarding the shipping
    they offer ..
    • DHL (4-7 business days) $21.00
    • UPS(5-8 business days) $24.00
    • EMS (5-10 Business Days) $26.00

which got me scratching my head, so DHL and UPS is still 100% i have to pay TAX on this?
for me the past few EMS deliveries i had to pay Tax as well, but still some come thru without tax ...
so was wondering what your guys experience regarding the shipping method is ....

    and ...
if you guys made some experiences with XIAOMI or the other new brand Evercoss (Evercoss Mobile Phone

Don't quote me on this but I think mobile phones are or were exempt from duty but there is a charge of 7% VAT on the total cost and shipping.

No idea on the phone, I only pay attention when I'm in the market for a new one.

    had to quote it :D
    **Updated**
this site says the same ..
Import duty & taxes when importing into Thailand - DutyCalculator Help Center
laptops and electronic products are free of duty

Sweet found that on the Zoo:

Go to the customs website (www.customs.go.th)

Search on "phone". It takes all of 10 seconds to traverse the links and read the correct harmonized code for a mobile phone is 85171200.

Listing the tariffs shows that since Jan 1 of 2007, mobile phones are exempt from duties. You will still need to pay 7% VAT on the price of the phone plus the cost of shipping, plus a customs clearance fee if you use a carrier like FedEx.

Only the actual import duty is exempt. In practice, if you use the regular postal service, anything valued under $100 USD is simply delivered without fees. Not guaranteed, but that is a common practice. If the phone is second hand, make sure you note that on the customs description.
