OFF TOPIC: Internet Issues

hey guys, i am back from vacation since 2 days now, and my True Internet Cable just went worse, wifey said its been like that for quite a while now.
Lots of sites simply dont load at all, or slow as fu....

i am having issues with them since quite a while now, and considering switching to 3BB 10 MB Plan for 590 THB (i am atm on True Cable 20 MB for 1200 THB)
now i heard that there is only a none Wireless Router with a single plug available from them, which i really was wondering if that is true ... and if so can you recommend some WLAN Router to me,

 

All the 3BB connections I have seen (quite a few) come with a wireless router including the new connection where I'm at now. installed 1 month ago.

True cable is usually very good but its hard to beat 3BB in terms of bang vs buck. Quite a few friends on 3BB also.

 

Have you try calling true, some times it is a firmware update that went wrong on your modem(cable router/wifi box), as far as i know the 3bb 10mb is a upto speed and no one i know got more than 6 mb in speed.

 

the Thai Visa Thread doesnt say lots good things about them, so far i have to confirm this from my end, i ve been with them since 2 years, and the last year they went closer and closer to the shitter

 

I have 3bb, but not the 590 Bath month deal, since I was told, that is is fine for thai websites, but not very good when you want to go on websites not located in Thailand. I pay 1599 Thb, and am very happy for the speed, but a friend of mine used to pay around 990 Bath and also has a speedy internet. When i joyned 3bb some years ago, it came with a router and one connection. Today you can buy a wireless router from them with one wired connection, and yet another wireless router with 4 wired connections. My friend had to buy the router from 3bb for 999 Bath.

I had for a short while true internet around 3 month, and the difference was really great. True internet was useless and I was happy I did not cancelled 3bb yet, since I had to use it most of the time. True internet was for me a very great disappointment.

 

we switched to 3bb a while back and i must say its a good value. not sure what we pay but its less than 1000 baht per month and almost never a problem. downloads take a bit of time but for general surfing its all i need.

 

I use it for both downloading and streaming video like you tube movies. The streaming need some speed though, but with 3bb not a problem.

 

I think it is all about how far there is to the isp box and the state of the cable, i tryed tot,3bb even maxnet and none of them can beat true in pattaya, i download 1 GB(GigaByte) in under 9 min. with IDM running 20 connections if the server i get it from can handle the speed.
