1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

Hi Gang, the information I am sharing with you today has to do with expat living here in Thailand. I look at this Forum as a social media platform. Sure it is about vaping. But that is just a small part of daily life in Thailand. When I find information that will make life here in Thailand better and more enjoyable for fellow Vapes. I have to share. I have lived in Thailand for around six years. One of the things I do not like about Thailand is cable TV :very sad: The cable/satellite business here in Thailand is just like back in the US. They play the same program over and over. For years, I have been looking for some way to gain access to the latest movie and TV show back home (USA). I was surfing the net about a week ago. I ran across a site that told me how I could get TV and Movies on the Cheap One of the main scores for internet TV and Movies back in the States is Netflix. Netflix is blocked in Thailand. I have found out that if I were to buy some software, it would let me use Netflix. That software is: VPN Service - Encrypt your internet connection - Hide My Ass! Pro VPN. I bought the software and have been watching ever since. Don't bother to go to Netflix without having installed hidemyass. If you do go there you will be told Sorry! I should mention that Netflix also has programming from England, as well. :vaping: Now you can spend your day Vaping in front of the TV watching something new for a change. :rolling laugh: :very good:

I tried torrents on many occasions. Band weight is a problem for me. To make torrent work for me I would have to pay 5,000bt per month. The other thing about torrent downloads might be illegal, (trade marked) and the exposure to spyware, and virus. I also found you need to be pretty tech savvy to understanding what is going on and what to do with the downloads. With hidemyass and Netflix it is a paid service, and it is click and play. I now can watch what I want whenever I want. No waiting 5-24 hours for a download. At no time in my post did I intend to say anything bad about Thai people or Thailand. I was taking about the cable industry and how they run their programs.

spacemunk please tell us the name of the proper thread this kind of post should appear in? :vaping:

A free VPN service can be found at ExpatShield. You can then use BBC iplayer to download programs at your leisure

I don't see how that would be....

Not if you use private torrent sites

I find it really easy, it's not that hard at all,,

Maybe someone should do a Thread on how to use torrent sites and how to download torrents...

I think you have missed the point of my post. :vaping: We are taking apples as opposed to eggs here. Torrents = free Netflix & hidemyass = paid for services. My post is a way around being censored. And giving me the ability to watch, say a whole season of Friends. Without taking up space on my hard drive. In fact I just finished watching 65 episodes of Burn Notice in a row. Please tell me you can do that with a torrent. Then tell me you have a hard drive big enough to hold all of that. :vaping:

Why's bandwidth a problem for you? How fast is your connection?

Nawt. You can have a decent connection for 600 Baht or more.

Many manuals on the internet. What to do with downloads? Watch them.

Downloading movies with bittorrent clients is what I do. Movies, documentaries, books and software. :very good:

Torrents is the way to go - EZTV is where you need to be and the best VPN service is Identity Cloaker which has its own severs although I am just about to try Expat Shield and see how that works for free. Storage?? I have 12 terabytes. ;-) I only use identity cloaker for watching BBC and porn ;-)
