It'll prevent them from oxidizing and reducing conductivity. Smear a little pea of it in the female threading, work the male side in and out a few times, then wipe off the excess. It also works as a grease to keep the threads smooth and prevent them from locking up. I would think it would be pretty important when using mixed metals, but I haven't heard anything about it yet.

Not a good idea. Vaseline breaks down and isn't conductive.

VM already sold out. back when I used to *cough* work, we used a product called copper cote to lubricate and protect threads. It did appear to be minutely ground copper particles in a liquid binder. Never thought to probe the contents with the multimeter tho. anyways not much to be gained as it was pretty pricey.

That's too bad, I had a feeling it would go fast. Its kind of a shame that for our purposes you can't get it by the gram or something, like a salt packet sized.

A vendor should buy a tube then sell it in those tiny zip lock bags or small syringes.

Blimey! Not another "must have" item for our Vaping Nirvana Wishlists?

    Will it ever end?

Hey Ryan, i think you need to put together a Fasttech Essentials list for us to copy and paste into our orders. I'm waiting on my first order from them but keep stumbling across assorted knit-knacks that i should have ordered in the first place. I've already started Order two to pick up the loose ends.

Having said that, i have been thinking about the issue of safe lubricants for all these metal parts we're playing with and welcome the tip. Cheers.

Hahaha, funny you said that. I was just reading a post by Phil Busardo on Facebook, he said:
It cracked me up, since if you didn't know the Wizard Evolved is around $500 and they sell out in about 45 seconds after they become available.

Noalox is useful, but its all about the law of diminishing returns. If you have it, great. If you don't, then what can you do. Same goes with all the accessories. Anything is better than inhaling burning plants.

The two problems with it are temp resistance and oxidation. When it gets warm it won't stay where you put it, grease is always used in any application that gets warm. Oxidation can inhibit conductivity and cause seizing threads. If wd40 is all you have though, it's probably better than nothing.
