I have now been a member of this forum for a little over one year, and it has been a good year. Last New Year I won the giveaway and got myself a Grand Vapor dripper. V was so kind as to sent sone prebuild coils with silica with it, and after I put all my courage together I managed to put 2 coils in it and fill some liquid in the thing and start vaping. I nearly died, I was coughing, like I had never cough before and my decicion was...Never again. I just continued vaping with my tanks Aspire and Kanger and vaping my 12 mg Feellife liquid. As you all know the feellife liquid is a 70/30 PG/VG.

During the sommer i tried a few bottles of Mac's liquid at 65/35 VG/PG and one single bottle of Joyetech juice from Micky at 50/50 PG/VG, but that did not ring the bell. It first rang, when another forum member Jon a month ago brought me a batch of different juices. Nearly all where either 50/50 PG/VG or even higher on VG. and some of the juice had a lower nicotine level than 12 mg. Suddenly i got this idea to put some juice in the Grand Vapor dripper once more and give it a final try. I used some Cinnamon roll from MacJuice, and no coughing at all, just warm nice vapor. A complete different taste and nice soft warm vapor. So I decided to have a look for another dripper and go into rebuildables in 2015. When you read as much as i have written in this forum the last year, you just get affected by all the information and discussions, so i honestly wanted to give it a new try.

Today Jon visit me again and brought a spare Magna Dripper, a lot of pre build coils and since i had ask about another dripper the Quicksilver, he brought it to and i was able to test vape the Quicksilver on Jon's 100 Watt Sigelei box at 50 watts. Wow that was really great. The taste of the flavour was inbeleavable, so after Jon and his family left, i started to look at the Magna dripper, and took 2 pre build 1.5 ohm coils and managed to get then attached to the magna. A check on my SVD told me that the resistance was around 1.0 Ohm. I took some cotton and finished the Magna, and tried to vape it on a stingray, since the SVD cant fire a 1.0 Ohm coil.

Wow I just did it, maybe also beginner luck, but with the pre-build coils, i only have to concentrate on how to place them and how much cotton to use on the coils. And now I'm hooked. My next dripper and RBA are on the wishlist already. I thought that I never would be into rebuildables, but thanks to this forum, I got the courage to dig into this aspect of vaping as well. Here a picture of my first half build Magna, the coil was a pre build one, so i cant take the honour for that. 2014-12-27 19.50.24.v01.jpg

Get yourself some 28 gauge wire. Do eight wraps with a 2 mm diameter (roughly the size of a toothpick). Should come out at about 0.65-0.0 ohms. A sweet vape on the Magma. If you want something a bit hotter, cut the number of wraps down to four. Should measure out at about 0.45-0.5 ohms. If you're in Phra Khanong area, I can show you how to coil that bad boy.

Good job Dieter! :bravo: And you should have some 1.1 ohm coils there too. I'm impressed you jumped straight to dual coil, I spent a long time in KF land with single before I ventured out in that
    .
And if you should get tired of those I got plenty of 28 g Kanthal you may try too. But job well done And thanks for coffee and chat today

Well done and welcome to another world of vaping. If you still have any of my Black Liqurice, be carefull of high watts its tasts very harsh, not an easy one with being a tank cracker too. It is still great vape at 20 watts and even more flavor from this very strong vape, I only vape it in a SS kayfun or RDA thats on a regulated device.

Thank you for your kind comments. Very encouraging.
I live in Udonthani and don't have a car, or a driver licence, actually never had one, so it's a bit difficult to come along, but I also have a good teacher in Jon. But if I should be in your area, I will contact you for sure. Thank you for your advice, I might try it, and some of my first buys will be an Ohms meter from Big..

Thank you for your kind words, and about the kanthal, I might just get back to it, when I have bought my Ohms meter. Thanks again for today, it was just nice.

Thank you Mack. Yes I still have 2 bottles of your Black Liqurice, and after i first used it in a plastic tank, I now vape it with the Aspire Nautilus tank on my SVD. I really like it, and since I only have the evic-Supreme, that is capable of delivering more than 20 watts, I will surely vape it under 20 watts then, that is the easy part at the moment. Last year I got some money back from tax and bought some regulated devices with 12.5 and 15 Watts max, and thought, that I did not have to worry about watts the next 10 years. This year no tax money back, so devices with more watts have to wait for a while...

    Very happy for you, Dieter!

A friendly suggestion for your possibly buying another RDA in the future and saving time and money: After using the Magma a while, think about the air draw/openness of it for vaping. Wide-open at it's largest air hole setting does it seem constricted to you and would you like something that makes it easier to take direct lung hits and have more airiness? Is it easy to drip into and do you find the amount of times you have to re-drip is a bit too often? Is there anything about the way it is adjusted, opened and closed that is inconvenient? Is there any leaking you would want to minimize with a different device?

Answering those questions based on your experience with the Magma can really help narrow down your future choices. There are other things you can think of too such as ease of rebuilding, size of post holes, etc. but these are the main ones I think that can help. Sort of like developing a wish list of features based on what the Magma gives you. If you noticed, I didn't list "flavor" among the questions because the Magma is widely regarded as one of the better flavor-producing RDAs. :)

    Enjoy, Dieter!

What a great tale to read :) Happy for you Dieter, the Magma is IMO the perfect RDA to begin dripping. Easy, solid, great deck, comfortable airflow and affordable !

Glad you enjoy and discover a new way. Share your builds with us :)
