1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

    Hello all,

Firstly, would like to say hello and you have a great forum here. I'm very happy I found it I managed to bring my vape with me thanks to the advice I read here.

I'm leaving Thailand soon though, (after about a 4 week stay) and was wondering if anyone had some advice for leaving via Phuket airport with their vape gear. Do you check-in your mod or take it with you in carry on? If you take it as carry on, have you had any problems when going through the X-ray machine? I have an alien smok and don't really want to have it confiscated or even worse, have trouble with the law. I'll be flying direct back to Australia. I'm hoping I can take it carry on and use it discreetly if possible in the smoking room at Phuket airport.

    Cheers

    Thanks Siam Diesel

I think I will only take the batteries with me carry on and everything else can be placed in check-in luggage. Might have to tough it out and wait until I arrive back home before I vape again.

The short version...we've never had any reports of anyone having any problems leaving with vape gear. The security screeners do not work for TH Customs...they're only interested in making sure that whatever is going on the plane is safe. I usually pack my mods (without batteries) and most everything else in my checked luggage. Loose batteries (and mods w/integral batts) need to be carried on. I have an Aio that I take with me...makes stealth vaping almost anywhere very easy.

    Safe travel home.

Would you vape in the airport smokers room or do you think this is too risky?

I would only stealth vape in the bathrooms...YMMV ;)

    Thank you @Konvict.

I'm in Phuket ATM can anyone point me in the direction of where I can buy a lead to make my mod a phone charger?

    Thanks in advance

I think this will be a difficult one.

I have never seen anyone selling these in Thailand except with the Wismec Predator mod kit.

    But I might be wrong.

The info in this thread is still valid...leaving is generally not a problem.

Just left Thailand from Samui via bkk to Germany with 11 mods, 15 tanks and 1,5 liter of juice. No problem at all. Everything except 2 mods and the batteries in the checked luggage.
