1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

For the last week or so I have been really getting the urge to buy a packet of smokes and have one.
Every time I go into the 7/11 I nearly buy a packet but i don't.

No idea why I have this feeling, I am vaping the same as I have been for the last 3 months, the nic level is fine for me but I just want to try a cigarette one more time I think.
But if I did I know I could end up smoking again....

    Anyone else get this?

I just went to post a new topic about this.

I have been off the stinkies for almost 3 months and every now and then I get the urge to have a cigarette. :cigarette:

    Any other members get this?

Then if I am near someone smoking I cant stand the stench coming from their smoke.:vomit:

V - I hope you can avoid the urge and not act on it. I really haven't had any urge to smoke but have sometimes recalled the pleasure I used to have smoking when drinking cold beers. Now I think cigarettes smell like crap and I'm embarrassed that I used to smell like that before. I have tried puffs from cigs maybe 3 or 4 times after having quit and it's like licking a well-used ashtray. Terrible.

The biggest thing that helped me when I was getting off cigarettes was exercise. For me it was jogging, but maybe just getting out there and taking a walk might help. Just remember that it's only going to take 1 before you find yourself smoking the whole pack and buying another because "**** it". You're definitely doing the right thing by talking about it with friends instead of acting on it, so cheers for that. Stay strong!

Good for you V! :very good:

Like you, I constantly feel the urge to smoke a cigarette, they were a big part of my life and I miss the little suckers. lol But it's an urge that can never again be fulfilled.

A few months back when I had a steady g/f I gave into the urge and bummed a drag from her cigarette and that was enough for me! It tasted absolutely foul and I went straight back to vaping my mods.

Just remember that old adage . . . . "you can never go home again."

I dont buy cigarettes, but i will smoke one at a bar if given....no longer have the urge to purchase, but 1 or 2 a month isnt a big deal. I really have no more urge to smoke.

After 2 months, the first cigarette i smoked was like the first one i smoked when i was 13. Burned throat, tasted bitter, was quite gross and dont know how i carried it on for 30 years.

Maybe you just have to change juice flavors.

btw converted 3 people to vaping lastnight, after they hit my device...Previously they used eGo's and gave up.

I did not touched a cigarette since I started vaping, I started vaping with eGo crap that would not satisfy me now.

I don't have the urge to smoke but I sure vape a lot, I don't miss anything from the analogs from taste to smell, especially not the side effects.

The only problem now is fighting the urge to buy a new shiny device :angel and devil:

Only problems I STILL have are in stress and anger situations. That was when I would virtually chain smoke for a while and "calm down". My learned patterns are still strong unfortunately and as soon as I hit one of the triggers I crave an analogue immediately and for days afterwards. Chain vaping till I am spinning gets rid of the immediate cravings quite well though. lol

I'm glad that I no longer have the feeling any more. I think that you can simply go ahead to smoke, no need to resist your urge, but do it with your whole heart and attention. Enjoyment will come, as well as the feeling of absurdity which would become stronger and stronger. Then it comes to a point that you yourself would make the correct decision. At least it works for me.

I have now been analog free for one and a half year. Before when I was still smoking analogs i had the urge to smoke very often. If I was in a shopping centre for instance I would go out of it after some 20 to 30 minutes to have my very much needed cigarette. And walking on the streets nearly let me chain smoke. Just a few examples. In the start I would vape in all of this occasions, but today I find that I can walk the streets for a long period, and be in the spopping centre for hours without the need to vape, but as soon as I am home again, I need my cup of coffee or tea and a long relaxing vape. I am happy to say the urge for a analog is gone, and if someone offered me one I would say "No, thank you". I have no intention of starting them again.

This is a CT scan of the cancerous tumor between my heart and my lungs that I had removed. Hopefully this will help with that urge to smoke.

Dieter Im the same as you. When I smoked the stinkies I would have to go outside of shopping malls every 30 minutes to grab a smoke, it was the craving. I am still in the habit of carrying my iStick every where I go but I find no need to go & have a vape When I return to the car:frustrated: I have a vape before driving off, then as you I enjoy a good vape with a tea or coffee and after meals. I think a lot of it is still habit from my smoking days.

Happy vaping members :congratulations: and many thanks to the members on here that have helped me so much about vaping.:thank you thank you:
