    Hey guys!

I just started mixing and am testing some capella flavors.Without nicotine it's all fine. Now if I use a nicotine base (100 mg/ml, 100 % PG) and get it down to 18 or even 9 mg/ml, I can't even vape that without killing my throat. I have two nicotine bases of that kind from two different suppliers. With both the same throat killing pain.

Do you guys have any idea why? The color of the PG nicotine base is yellow, maybe too old?

    @Benji

It depends on your final PG ratio of the liquid you make...

I find if I mix at 50% PG 50% VG -its too harsh for my throat, I always mix at 30% PG 70%VG.

Also, as you vape at 18mg or 9mg - it could be the coil resistance is too low, for a high nicotine strength liquid. also the wattage power..

For 18 or 9 mg liquid, I'd use a coil of 0.8 or higher, and use 12w power on the device..

As for the Nicotine colour, it is fine...

This is an example , of 9mg, 15% flavouring, and 30 ml of juice

If you wish, send a screenshot of your calculation/recipe.. and I'll advise further..

What juices have you been vaping prior to this?
    Use less nic.

I had the same settings with and without nicotine. Without it's fine with very low throat hit, but when I mix it with nicotine it's turning damn harsh even with low watts.

I made 60VG/40PG with this settings. First with nicotine, after I tried with 0 nicotine.

more old is nicotine base or booster, more the color went to yellow (oxydation I'm not sure of this word in English).
nicotine is normally stored in the fridge-freezer without problems, if not 100 mg/ml will be after time lest
    .
You should don't have any problems with capella flavor, If you're alright with your mix pg/vg, it could mean that 18 or 9 mg/ml is to high for you? (we are all different)
( I vape 6mg/ml juice and try to slow down to 3 with 2 different mix, I'm quite sure that I couldn't vape 18 or 24 mg/ml liquid any more as wen I just quit smoking)

Stored it in the freezer in brown bottles. I try to do everything correctly, the mixing also,
Before I vaped 6 mg/ml and that was fine. I could chain smoke that.

How long have you been vaping? Do you still smoke ciggies or not? From your previous posts, it appears that you've just started about a month ago...it does take a while to get all the crap out of your system and for your body to re-adjust to not getting some of the nasties that they put in cigs. It also takes a couple of months for your taste buds to return to normal.

What you're experiencing could be part of the readjustment process...perhaps along with a reaction to the PG level, which affects some but not all on here.

18 mg/ml look very high if you were vaping at 6 (headache and palpitations?) . I think that 9 mg/ml can be ok if you're not chain vaping.

What coil resistance are you using? , if its 0.5 , its too low for 9mg or 18mg... needs to be 0.8 or higher..

If you vape at 6mg , 0.5 ohm is ok

from your mix, it should read like this...

I asked a friend to try, if it's only me. He's doesn't smoke, vapes a lot longer than me and had the same throat kill :-/

Could it be because of the VG/PG from Chemipan? Or are they ok?
    **Updated**
My predator shows 0.17 :-D Then the problem could be that the nicotine gets hot too fast or too slow or too hot in general?
    **Updated**
    Yes, that's what I did.

    Thats the problem...

0.17 coil cannot be vaped with a high mg of nicotine...

0.17 coil, 3mg of nicotine.. ok..

Okay, then I will get another coil and test again. Thank you :) Just because I'm curious about it - can you explain, why it's because of the resistance?

    No problem.

Make sure the coil, is minimum of 0.80 or higher.....

For a low resistance coil ( 0.17), it will be a very thick wire.

To fire this wire up, it will need a lot of power to work... therefore burning high strength nicotine at high power -will burn your throat out...

High nicotine - higher coil resistance = less power

Low nicotine - low coil resistance = more power..

Hmm, I mix at 10 mg/ml of nicotine and vape at .4 ohm, sometimes lower, Capella and FA flavors, nic sourced locally, no doubt Chinese, PG and VG Srichand brand and I have no throat burning issues. Does anyone else have knowledge about the interesting idea weaver93 raised above about high nic at low ohms?

What wattage are you vaping at? , also what AWG is the wire?
also the percentage of PG in the liquid, comes into play... more PG =More throat kick..

or maybe it could be the Chemipan PG???? is too harsh...
