Ah, to be the bringer of bad news... declaring something as a gift does little to nothing to dissuade the imposition of import duties. Speaking from personal experience. It is so nice to receive a parcel by surprise when one is not expecting something - only to be told to fork over 3,000 THB in order to receive... what? ... underwear and socks!? Thanks a fricken lot, Grandma! Like there was a bare aรรed, no sock wearing dark lord running around Thailand! Good thing that problem has been remedied.

yeah, guess that doesn't amount to much. Ironically, a kayfun monster mini v4 and goblin nano from fasttech were in fact successfully delivered today - only the juristic office staff cut out early, closed up shop hours ahead of the end of the day, trapping said items inside a closet until after the holiday.

For the record, China Post is fastest from fasttech - even says so:
