1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

    Hi folks,

I've been reading here for some time, really just following the legal situation.

I quit smoking a year and a half ago and one of my biggest worries is the legal situation in LOS.

I went so far on the weekend as to try the new IQOS from Phillip Morris. The thought here is that the IQOS will be allowed in LOS before Vaping, with some encouragement from PM.
However, the IQOS is just like a real cig. It heats the tabaco instead of burning it. But for me, one drag and I may as well have been smoking a real cig. Same crap taste in mouth and the buzz i got was horrible. Seriously felt like I was smoking the real thing.
The folks in the store strongly said this was for smokers, if you're a non smoker or vaper they strongly discourage you from even trying.

I'll keep reading and look for updates on the situation as they become available.
I just don't understand why they don't just charge a fee for importation of juice and gear. I'd pay a fortune to be able to bring in a liter for personal use.
Or, well maybe I do understand, sadly.

    Maybe kickbacks as well.
Plenty of Thai sellers importing large quantities of gear who seem to have no issues.
If you get caught it will cost you a bit that's all.
If you come to Thailand spread your gear out so it can't be identified as an E-cig.

Thanks for the welcome and info guys.

I understand the concerns with bringing gear in and even if i have to, I can wear a patch for a while until I find suitable gear locally. i also have no issues with turning around and going home or elsewhere if vaping is not possible.
Like everyone here, I'm just not going to smoke a cig.

    ....and another new member here.

But I wouldn't buy them, I want to divorce myself from Marlboro.
