So I got this from Micky in black:
Eleaf iStick 50W Kit | Thailand Vapers

    - Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage
    - Incredible 4,400 mAh Battery Capacity
    - Output Wattage Up To 50W
    - Stainless Steel Thread Connector
    - Great for Sub-Ohm Vaping
    - Spring-Loaded Center Pin
    - Passthrough Capability
    - Mini USB Charging Port
    - Digital OLED Display Screen
    - Short Circuit Protection
    - Automatic Shutoff Protection
    - Low Voltage Protection
    - Temperature Alarm Feature

    Package Contents:
    • 1 x Eleaf iStick 50W Battery
    • 1 x 510 to eGo thread adapter
    • 1 x USB Cable
    • 1 x Wall to USB Adapter
    • 1 x Instruction Manual

I didn't get it as it is '50 W' of power, but more so with the looks and the long battery life of it.
I had perviously owned the iStick 20 when they first came out, but a bit too small for me and also no spring loaded 510

Anyway it just arrived this morning

    In the box is:

Comes with the USB cable, wall charger, instructions and eGo adaptor:

    The front, nice clean looking

The back with some branding on it:

    The spring loaded 510

    The mod stood up
    photo 2.JPG

Popped my Rose on it, 1.3 ohms @ 15.5 W

Then for size comparison next to my other mods:

So the buttons are a pleasure to use, the fire button is well placed, nice size and is just fantastic
The weight is perfect, not too light not too heavy
It fits great in the hand
The quality of the vape from it is just grand.
The battery life I can't comment as I only just got it, but at 4,400 mAh I am guessing it will last a few days

It will be in my daily mod rotation for a while now, so if anything comes up I will update this Thread, if no updates it means it's just doing what it should be doing.

    Was it worth buying?
    Hell yes...

Thanks to Micky for the quick postage of this.
    Cheers
    V

Yep, sure is...Just hope it lasts a while.
I read a few things that the older iStick 20 ones started to die and fail on a few people
Let's hope these last a while....

I read those too, probably partially luck of the draw. I'm guessing a lot of it depends how often you are charging it.

I wonder with these low prices, even if it only lasts say 6 months, would it still save money over a mod with replaceable batteries. Sure seems like it's getting very close.

I look forward to hearing from people once it's been a while. I have read the iStick 20w problems, but it seems like it's far from everyone. I see plenty of great reviews from people who have been using it daily.

Agree, I remember @Rick O-Shea thinking the same way when comparing with his SXMini if I recall correctly. For the price point, you don't even care if it fails after 6 months or if you break it, you'll just buy another one.

I think they were very smart on the price positioning.

Of course if the equation considered the piles of 18650 batteries some of the members have at home, then that would change things. But for someone like me who only has integrated batteries, if things keep improving I don't think I'll ever buy a mod with replaceable batteries, and I could see them becoming much rarer in the future.

I've had my iStick 50watt for about a month, I guess, and it is just as I got it, which means that I still have a very intermittent fault on the 'On' switch, I really should bring this up with cVapor but it works so many other times that I keep forgetting about it-- otherwise, it's a great, keenly priced mod.

Integrated battery mods have their place but at some point you will be throwing the mod away whereas I will only be throwing a battery away...and batteries last a whole lot longer than most people think.

I have a soldering iron so I'd just source the battery and reply it

If my batteries die I'll be 'upgrading' it to 5000mah. I expect the chip to be the first to go though.

As a value for money mod it can't IMO be beaten at the minute. Does it give me the best vape? No, my yihi chipped mods are noticeably better but, I would buy another one tomorrow as a great "disposable" :)

This is just my personal opinion of course.

I should have added it all depends on the vaper. If you're sub-ohming and using 5000-10000mah/day I totally understand the need for batteries. I just meant for myself, needing a pretty basic mod, I don't have a use for batteries. And as these mods improve, less vapers will need them.

I understand the issue of the battery going bad, but as you said batteries last a long time. Also, unless you can solder, there's a lot of other things (chip) that can go bad before the battery. Tough to really compare them completely.

My switch just stuck on and would not shut off, so I unscrewed the Subtank and turned the mod off- now it's back to normal. Guess mine is shaping up to be one of the few that could be said to be problematic. Tonight is the first time it's ever done this- and generally it's my go-to mod, so it's already done some work since I've had it- I'm hoping it carries on.

It's a good little box, and I have managed to loose it on the floor a couple of times already, but no problem there. It covers one of my vaping slots and doing a good job at it with the battery life.
