Here is a great video about the new settings, courtesy of DJLSB vapes, he really explains it all easily.

Works well for me. V3.0 is hitting the bulls eye.

I just copied the TRC value for stainless 304 from the video - works great on both of my Evics (hardware version 1.00 and 1.01) :very good:

Yes, I updated firmware on both of my devices to 3.0 - but the hardware version stays 1.00 & 1.01 :)

Oops... Have to change my mind... looks like the SS used for uwell coils is a 304 grade, whereas up to now, I was using TC function on the evic for 316 SS with this coil! So finally, I tried this new TCR and adjusted the M1 memory at 105 for 304 SS : working fine.

Also, to find the correct values for the types of wire, found this little board : easy now!

And thank you @The Rev :thank you:

Just tried TC for the first time on the Evic with the Hurricane. Ni200 (all I have) 3mm/0.12/450f - TEMP PROTECTION.
Switched to a TCR of 600 and a dramatic improvement.

I swapped mods with the employee I gave my VTC Mini to so I could test it along with the Reuleaux RX200. Updated the firmware to the latest and it behaves very much the same as that one. Manually entered and adjusted TCR values seem to be needed to get accurate temps from these devices. So far on both the RX200 and the VTC Mini I have the following that I find are more accurate though I'm still tweaking:

    Ni200: 650
    Ti1: 390

Ok latest thing I noticed....had a little bit of juice or condensation near the base of an atty on the VTC mini so I took it off and at the same time replaced the battery. Put the atty on first then popped in the battery and the message came up asking if new or old coil. Answered old saw the resistance reading is where it was at before. Vaped and found it much too overly warm with the same TCR setting of 390 that had been vaping very nicely earlier and through the day. Very surprised by that so I let the atty and mod cool, took off the atty, and let everything go to room temp. Put on the atty and again, the vape was way overpowered. Set the mod to the built in Ti setting and it was about right. So, something is screwy with this mod and/or chipset and it's turning into a real pain in the arse. Can see several posts elsewhere with people complaining or noting issues with settings and inconsistencies too. The SS316 users seem to be the most prevalent followed by Ti users.

TCR mode is the boss. Best thing since vaping was invented.

I agree that vaping should be simple...but that video was very difficult to watch!
