I have had a couple of hours to play with my new toy. I downloaded the software and installed it. I found out that I can set the VV/VW to automatic. That means that no matter what device I put on top of my eVic the VV/VW will be automatically adjusted to the ohms of that device. Now that is way cool. That means there will be no more harsh or burnt flavors. Tell me that not worth having on a toy. remenber SMARTER NOT HARDER. And THIS IS ONE SMART APV. I guess you could call this function an auto pilot.

:very good: :vaping:  :rolling laugh:

So which one doe sit use? Wattage or Voltage?

I noticed when using Wattage with my Vamo I never got such problems no matter what number of Watts I used, use to get many burnt tastes with my Lava Tube on Voltage....

That's because the Vamo, ZMax and CVI are already set to automatically change the wattage based on ohms every time you hit the fire button. The original version of the eVic only read the ohms when you told it to and then calculated wattage based on that. You could change an atty, forget to reset, and burn your coil. New versions of the firmware now detect an atty change and automatically set the wattage based on the ohms. They were actually fixing a problem with the first version of the firmware. The eVic is fine, but I prefer the way other devices read it every time the fire button is pressed.

At this point I want to believe the Eviv sets both V/W. I am getting some flak for that belief on other forums. I could be wrong. :here's your beer:

The eVic will suggest a wattage but it is up to you to adjust it to where you want it based on your vaping style. What is a good wattage for one person might be too weak for some or taste burnt to another. Any VW/VV device allows you to set the voltage and check the ohms. When in VV mode you need to calculate the voltage setting for yourself (yes eVic will initially set to a suggested voltage) for the wattage you want to run. The beauty of VW (all I use) is that you set the device to the wattage you like, it reads the ohms and sets the voltage to achieve the desired wattage. That means when you change to another atty with a different resistance the device will change the voltage to achieve the preset wattage. VW gives you a more consistent vape over many different attys and no more having to calculate voltage yourself after doing an ohm reading. In my opinion, VW is the only way to go.
