1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

    Hi All,

I am going to be flying into Bangkok and getting a bit worried about bringing some vaping gear. I plan on bringing 30ml of liquid, istick battery and mini nautilus with a few spare coils. Is this going to be ok? Will customs confiscate it, give me a fine or even worse throw me in jail where I will get raped in the showers by mister big? (the last bits a joke)

I am traveling light and only bringing carry on luggage.

I really am hoping for no problems. I have given up a 30 year habit by vaping and I really do not want to risk getting back on the ciggies....

A few months ago I came back from England with three mods, two tanks, half a dozen batteries and six small bottles of liquid. Had some in my check in, some in my carry on and some in my pockets. Had no problems anywhere!

In reality there must be 100s of tourists going through with personal vaping gear every week. If people were getting fined and their gear confiscated I am sure we would have heard about it by now.

We've heard that one member's vape gear in his carry-on luggage was examined closely upon arrival into Swampy (his carry on was scanned by TH Customs) but he was allowed to pass and no fine was levied.

As long as it's small quantities for personal use, you shouldn't have any trouble.

Hi new here and fly in and out of Thailand often. Was told not to hand carry vape gear in luggage but to get it check in.
    Any comments

Checked baggage for Atomisers, Tanks, and Mods with ALL batteries removed, is best option, also any quantity of juice should get well wrapped and put in checked baggage.
Hand luggage for Mods with enclosed, non removable batteries, and ALL batteries, the batteries in band luggage should be in battery boxes.
    Plus, try to avoid Dubai.

Returned yesterday from Singapore...it was business as usual at Swampy. Walked through the Green line with no problems...everything except a tiny mod/tank combo (and a couple of loose 18650's) was in my checked luggage (which was also plastic wrapped). I was vaping at the curb while waiting for my pickup.

I don't believe they're specifically looking for vape gear so if you get selected for secondary screening on arrival, just tell them that it's for personal use during your stay in Thailand and you should be ok.

Guess I'll see soon enough - I'll be catching the bus from Swampy to Pattaya Sunday morning
