1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

This doesn't really surprise me as most buck boost circuits I've looked at that can do 40 watts can do 200watts, so it has always been down to the software control after you have picked suitable components for the electronics. It doesn't mean that anyone's got the software right yet though. And of course 200watts is not going to give anyone any battery time.

I think the big game changer as long as it works is the chip will now be user upgradable...

Interesting times...Evolve isn't messing around...straight from 40 watts to 200 watts. And since it can be updated by us, perhaps this chip will be around longer than the DNA40, which isn't even a year old.

Yes its a major plus, more so as a lot of the mods that use evolve chips tend to be mechanically better than the clone manufactures so as time goes on they should get the software fixed or upgraded and this will mean that you get a mod that not only lasts for more than a few months but any performance issues should disappear too. That's assuming there electrical and mechanical designs are on the ball to start with. It would be nice to have more info on what there hardware choices are, The clone manufactures work that out pretty quick and use cheep alternatives so if EVOLV and mod makers are using good quality hardware, maybe they should advertise the fact better. I know after taking a DNA40 apart I realised the ARM microprocessor used by EVOLVE was a lot more advanced that anything before, but there was never a mention about it.

Not enough mods have an amp reading which is strange as it's something we're all interested in (speaking for myself), it seems only crappy Chinese mods are the only ones I have seen with an amp reading.

But look at the decimal placement. Unless it adjusts, it may not be amps? Maybe for dual batteries slot A Voltage and there's a slot B reading? Maybe coefficients for different wire types? I saw another pic and instead of "A" it was V for I presume volts.

    Apparently it requires an 11v Li-Po or 3x 18650's.

    Opus 200
$230 "non-cancelable" pre-order. Zero information on the mod itself. Shady practicing. I thought we were getting past the over-priced Evolv based mods.
