Did I buy a fake MBV ?

Hi folks,

I would like to share something that that got me wonder.

Below is a picture of three of my MBV juice bought here in Thailand.



From the left, first one is from Big, second one from Julang and third from Ecig-Healthy.

Now you will notice that none of these bottles have the same label.

There isn't even a manufacture date in the last one.

I know that some companies (like Pinkspot) will personalise the label upon order and probably MBV does it too.

But I can't help thinking that there is a lack of info for the user.

Scratchy mentionned that maybe Ecig-Healthy is doing his own mix using MBV flavoring, hence the lack of manufacture date.

But what about the two others? Is there different labels per region?

Any light on this would be appreciate guys

MBV actually sell their own labels. Have a look for any inconsistencies Bottles Labels - Mt Baker Vapor

 

Im convinced the Vendors buy in bulk - including the labels and empty bottles and then refill and resell in smaller quantities. I think this practice happens in the states as well.

This explains not only the inconsistencies in labeling, but also how the vendors get to sell it so cheap. (And Im sure still make a decent profit)

 

They all look fake to me and you can guarantee that if they have come from a vendor, they have most likely been diluted or 'cut'.

It's the nature of the beast and saying it ain't so, is just being naive.

Do yourself a favour and get it directly from MBV.

They sell custom labels, stock labels, not to mention that both of those are different from the labels they use for retail. You can buy premixed juice or just the flavoring, and can buy the bottles from them as well. I know there are several vendors over here that use their wholesale site differently, some mixing themselves, some premixed, and some get their bottles from other sources (MTB's bottles are crazy expensive compared to Chinese ones).

 

Thanks for the input, FL. Now I am very satisfied with these juices and I like being able to by it here. I am not too keen on ordering from overseas yet. Maybe soon though lol

Does someone tried the same flavor bought from directly from MBV and from a local supplier here ? Is there really a huge difference ? Locally mixed doesn't obviously mean bad imo, again I am very satisfied with what I have. Though, I can understand the original product being even better !

 

Personally I think I have become a bit of a vaping snob. I can taste the difference in quality between MBV and GLV and I prefer GLV mist if the time.

 

I've bought MBV locally, direct from MBV, and I make the juice myself. Of course there is a bit of a difference, mainly due to the nicotine base used, but not much. Its obviously more pronounced at higher nic levels.

FL, I'll agree with you that the GLV flavors are much richer and more nuanced, but they use some kind of sweetener I think that I don't like. It's put me off of them. Its a shame too, Butterscotch Yo! is an absolutely incredible flavor.

Anyway, wanted to post this, so here is as good a place as any. I ordered 6 bottles of flavoring from MBV on the 31st of August, it arrived yesterday with no customs due. The shipping label even said Electronic Cigarette Flavoring right on it. I'm pretty happy, this will keep me going for a few more months.

I can't recommend strongly enough that people start making their own juices. I bought my bottle of nicotine 9 months ago (500ml/200mg) and I can't have used more than 20% of it so far. PG and VG are bought locally, so flavoring is the only thing you have to worry about importing regularly (I won't touch the Chemipan flavorings). $3 of MBV flavoring makes me 75ml of juice, and all the other flavoring suppliers are similarly priced, if not cheaper.

I'm lucky, I found a few flavors I really like, I found the percentages I like to mix them at, and I found hardware that suits me. Every time I read about someone with problems ordering, someone getting horrible juice, someone thinking about going back to cigarettes because they ran out of their favorite, I really do feel bad. I hope everyone reaches a satisfying and sustainable place like I have. It makes things so much easier.

 

I bought a litre of both PG/VG as well as 5 flavours from Flavourart but came unstuck with the Nicotine using a certain nameless company. I have no intention of purchasing through hiliq for pure nicotine or even 10% using DHL or Fedex.

I do however have a cunning plan...

 

Hey guys, we import in bulk and re-bottle MBV for sale to shops in BKK. As ryanmacl said correctly, MBV lets us order labels and re-sell their liquid. Hope this clears up any confusion about the labeling and bottle style (ours is the 30ml one on the left)

Don't worry, you're getting the exact same liquid you'd get from MBV directly. Our production environment is sterile, and we're dedicated to quality, as this is the same stuff we vape ourselves.
