I guess the answer will vary a lot - Generally does it save you a lot of money, or is it done for other reasons?

It can be done for various reasons like knowing exactly what there is on your liquid. As for cost it will depend on which flavorings you are using, some can be very expensive especially when you do the first few tries as you will probably order small quantities that you will set aside quite quickly as they don't match your tastes.

For the PG and VG there is a cheap source from Chmipqn here in Thailand but the main problem comes from the nicotine. Since the ban is in place you have to be extra carefull when importing nicotine as this is against the law.

I personally stopped making my own e-liquids for a while since there are cheap and good options for ready to vape liquids on this very forum :)

PG and VG are easily available and very cheap in Thailand. The expense comes in when you try to get the nicotine and flavorings. If you order your nicotine from America (or any other country) the shipping will be expensive and you run the risk of it getting confiscated in customs. If you were able to receive the shipment, things aren't too bad. But if you lose that shipment and try again, assuming the second one comes through, your costs have doubled. The same can be said for flavorings. They are not too pricey but shipping will be high. Flavors also run the risk of being confiscated in customs because they are considered a food product and do not meet Thai labeling standards. After all is said and done, you can make the flavors you want with nicotine levels and PG/VG ratios to your liking. The biggest problem is the gamble you take on getting all the supplies. If it were America, I would say that making your own liquids is much, much cheaper and you control the quality 100%.

As I brought in my own nicotine, I am anxious to source PG and VG. I googled for Chmipqn but nothing found on this forum. Can anyone help?

To answer the question above: If you can find a litre of PG/VG base in the US, it comes down to about 55$, shipping included. Aromas are cheap if you can find your own baking aromas here that you trust and like. But in the end the base mix with some nicotine costs you 60THB for 30 ml, in case you don't want to do the math yourself.

I am not doing it for saving money but because this way I control what I am vaping.

    Thanks a lot for this!!!

The prices are awesome. But to obtain this price, you have to buy 200l-drums. That is a bit too much for what I am vaping right now. But even at lower quantities, it is ridiculously cheap.

    PG 5,62 USD
    VG 2,55 USD

    per liter!

That brings down the price for 30 ml to 4.41 THB.

Do you know if it is vegetable glycerine or synthetic?

I'm sure about this company in particular. But there is pharmaceutical grade glycerine available in Thailand. Since it is made in Thailand it is not USP certified, but is labeled as 99% pure pharmaceutical grade. While synthetic glycerine is made, you will not usually see it used in pharmacy or food based products. It is actually more expensive and more difficult to make. With that being said, most glycerine you see will be either vegetable or animal fat based. The chemical structure is the same and should not affect the end product. Since making the vegetable based glycerine is the easiest and cheapest, most all glycerine you see will be, in fact, VG. Others here may have more information on who is providing what, but I think if you stick with a reliable chemical or pharmaceutical vendor, you should be OK. You can always request data sheets from the seller as well.

The VG made by Chemipan is pharmaceutical and food grade, I believe it is 97% pure if I'm not mistaken and it is indeed vegetable glycerin eventho it is listed as plain glycerin on the website.

I generally vape 0mg anyhow so this is an awesome find. If anyone is able to sell me some small quantities of Nic it would be greatly appreciated though.

    Cheers fellas.

I think mixing is going to be the next thing for me. I've begun my mixing and steeping already on store bought juices and some have come out deliciously delicious. So far, the big winners are AJ Vape mango-black current with Alchemy & Company Creme. The creme takes the top mint edge off the Mango/Black Currant and adds a sweet and creamy "carrier" quality that really takes the AJ Vape up a few levels. I've mixed and steeped Octo-Brew Apple Crumble with a touch of AJ Vape Double Apple which wakes up the apple note very nicely indeed, and the to-die-for mix has been Magic Finger Hazelnut Chocolate with Alchemy & Company Creme - OMG. Chocolate milk vaping juice? Almost brings tears to me eyes. Love this stuff.

I been in touch with Diane, the owner of My Vape Juice. Very personable, very well informed, great selection of delectable-sounding goods and they offer pre-mixed nicotine VG base. Sure, not the cheapest route, but that's not a concern. I'm looking for quality goods and it's my intuition that tells me I may have found a great resource, given the tone in her replies. Next up; kitchen supplies :) Love kitchen gear.

So tell me, Ben... I'm really curious on this topic. Do you really notice the 0 nic in your vaping experiences? Do you miss having nicotine in what you're vaping? I can't find any 0 nic juices to try locally.

    Thanks!

There's heaps of 0mg juices available actually. Check the classifieds in here and you'll find a lot. Also, some of our local members, who make and sell, have some nice 0mg too.

I've been off the smokes for about 8 years. I employ a lot of farang staff, though, and 'after work' beers started turning into a sneaky smoke session.

When one of the other lads pulled out an ego i was intrigued. Eventually i bought a little eVod2 and my hunt for the perfect juice began. That was about 6 months ago.

I've upgraded my gear a bit and I am now a flavour whore with 30+ little bottles in my office fridge, along with a substantial collection if unused, out dated, rolls of film.

I play with mixes of juice too (often using VM's Vanilla Custard as a base) and will occasionally mix a juice with nic into the melting pot. I do enjoy the subtle throat tickle the nic gives.

I vape for relaxation and flavour; i'm not trying to replicate smoking. It's nice being able to pull a little pouch out at the pub, select a flavour from 3-4 atomisers, screw it onto an adjustable Vision Spinner battery and toke away in unison with a good pint of cider or an imported IPA.

Talking of which; it is Friday right. Hemingways anyone? ;-)

    Nice one.

Most of the film is old iso100 Kodak Color 35mm but there's a few rolls of ilford medium for my Yashica TLR.

    Be good.

been making my own for over a year now- 1000's of free recipes all over the web==does take some up front investment to buy a good variety of concentrates but ends up being much cheaper in the long run--i spend about 30 mins per week mixing---and have about 20- favorites that I back to from time to time but always making new stuff.
