Is there an interest of this in here ?? We´ll all help out and try and compile stuff that makes it easier to make some coils...

Edited by SD: Moved this post back to the beginning of the thread and added some posts from the Coil Porn thread to get things going...carry on. :D

The claptons is easy to get tight, while it's in the drill, take a plyer and hold the core and press the wrap to the drill.. I learned this some week ago, made it easy to get Nice wrapped Claptons..

Thank you for that tip. I will try and remember that.

I made this chain build a week ago. I have not used it yet, all my rda's have builds in them. The first two chain builds I did, I spun the drill too much.

(I wrapped it around a screw driver once already. I had to unwrap it and save it for different rda due to post holes.)

I made 2 sets of 2 strand twisted wire spinning the drill clock wise.
Then I took the two sets of of twisted wire put them in the drill (twisted the ends together) and held the other end with pliers and spun the drill counter clock wise, cant spin too much or the chain effect will disappear.

I already wrapped it once around a screw driver and un wrapped it , so thats why it is not straight.

That RDA is beautiful . How do you like the 2 compared to 1? building and vaping wise.

:D It took me a few tries. I made the 2 sets of 2 strand twisted very, very tight.
Then when I combined them in the drill I slowly spin very loose.

    This is a good vid:

Wow! that is nice. You used the toothless pliers while spinning it to flatten it! I like the surface. That looks awesome.
Anytime. Thank you for the tip.
I am going to try that on next chain build.

Most advaned tool i use is a drill, well yes i have my Big Jig Rig also, but i learned from it to make the coils with a drill and adapted it to do it by hand, some small things like a fishing swivel might be needed in some builds, but i think there will be ways arround that to..

The one i make now are very simple. Complicated ones I just bought them. But yes tips are always welcome, especially for someone who is tempted to start rebuilding so they can see it is not very difficult.

If I decide that time/effort =vape improvement I will certainly give this thread a lot of attention on the boutique coils.
