Cleaning tanks...AGAIN

Soory to ask this, but I am at my wits end atm

When I started I bought 3 Feel Life juices, Cappucino, strawberry and Minty Chocolate, before I realized I prefered Tobacco base juices, for the momnet, and Halo Midnight Apple and Belgian cocoa, These are the only Halo juices that I have that are of concern, for this post. the other I vape are no problem.

The problem I am having is that I CANNOT for love nor money, well maybe money , get the tatses out of the tanks! I have mini protank 2's iClear 30s's and a Protank 3. Regretably I have managed to put at least one of the above juices in to nearly all my tanks, and now after reapeated washing and cleaning and soaking in vodka etc, somewhere in the region of 6 complete cleans in the 2 weeks I have been vaping, in the case of the strawbery and the cappucino tainted tanks even more than that, I STILL have a strong taint to different juices when I use the tanks.

Does anyone have ANY ideas how to get rid of the soaked in flavours. I have cleaned, dryburned and even changed the coils in all the tanks in case it is in the wicks or flavour wicks, and no joy. I have used detergents, hot water, runnings water, brushes and vodka soaks to try to clear the rest of the pieces and nothing is working. Next I am going to surgical alcohol to try and break it down.

I have a feeling I am just going to have to change the tanks, or, if I can, the glass/plastic - as I think that is where the problem lies.

 

are you doing a good wash of the actual plastic/glass tank? is the taste in the coils or tanks? with everything but the coils/wicks, i wash them like i do my dishes (same soap and all) every now and then to get them nice and clean.

for the coils and wicks you are doing what just about everyone says to do. not sure how the taste is staying in them.

 

It's not tha coils and wicks. That was why I put in brand new coils, to eliminate them. As for teh tanks I have done just about everything short of radiation treatment. Running hot water after a soak in near boiling hot water and wsh in detergent, Scrubbing with brushes, in hot water and detergent and even in vodka, Soaking in vodka and all of the above i one clean and I cannot get rid of the taint. And it's not just for a few puffs on the juices I put in either, unfortunately. It's for a whole tank of juice, and every new tank of juice.

At least with the Halo Midnight Apple I like the juice and am getting more. For that one I can keep a tank for that juice and not worry.

Oh well. Onwards and upwards. Loathe to go to surgical alcohol though, I'm not sure of the risks of damaging the plastic tanks and O-rings.

More cleaning today.

The worst for holding flavour are the mini Protank2's for some reason. Maybe because they had the Really strong sweet flavours in them, that's all the Feel Life and the Belgian cocoa, for longer than the other affected tanks.

 

Been vaping the Feel Life minty choc and cappucino for the last 2 weeks in 3 polycarbon tanks, rinsing only with hot water every few days and they hold no smell or taste. Strange.

Hell, I had my evil overpowering mint chemipan mess in one - the one where I had to evacuate the room post-haste - and hot water cleaned that......

 

What can I say...I have no understanding of this at all. Or maybe my taste is coming back a whole lot better than I ex[ected, after 35 years of heavy smoking and I am noticing just trace flavours as strong for the time being.

Then again I can smell the juice in a the empty tanks again after a few hours. I know your sense of smell gets better as well but it is frustrating to say the least.

 

Would a couple of drops of lemon juice in the water damage the tanks? That may help to neutralize any residual smell? Dunno.

 

With the concentration of juice I can see no problem at all. I'll give that a try. Thanks

many thanks for the offer oil but I an not your Mike and I really would prefer to find a way to clear the clearomizers I have not replace them with atomizers. If I wanted to replacxe I would have just doen that but I don't want to spend 1000B or so to replace the tainted ones.

 

As a matter of interest. I assume the lemon story didn't help?

 

Haven't tried it out yet mate. Been vaping the tanks empty first. Don't want to empty back in tp the bottles and risk tainting the rest of the juice and don't have any temporary bottles yet either. Waiting for them to come.

 

Spend 700 baht. Get a Kayfun and forget about the tank tasting of old juices ...
