Cleaning gunk off an RDA

    Or an old, frequently used coffee cup that has never been washed.

    I gave it a quick scrub with a toothbrush, boiled it for ten minutes, chucked it in the USC for ten minutes, what was left on the outside came off in seconds.

    Amazing...nice job Rick! Another alternative if there's no US cleaner handy is to throw it in warm water with a Polident/Efferdent denture cleaning tablet (the non-flavored ones are the best but the mint flavored ones were all I could find in Pattaya) and let it soak...those bubbles really work but it may take more than one go. To get rid of the mint smell, another vodka soak should do the trick.

    It's vapable now. Screws are still a bit manky. I'll see if I can get the posts off. If I can, a quick rub around with the Scotch Brite and it'll be good as new (With replacement screws).

    Wow Rick you are awesome!! I really didn't think it would be that easy with all the vodka soaks but I knew it was going to take more.

    Can't believe it's working, I'm really hoping it hits better clean because while it worked it had really weak airflow for an RDA. Maybe the gunk was blocking the air holes lol.

    Are the scews for this one hard to find or are they all the same?

    May not be all that worth it though. Have you given it a try? I don't really have tools to drill it out, and the airflow seemed really poor. Coming from the Veritas it's pretty horrible. I mean it would work for building coils and trying juice, but that would never be an atty I'd use often if it really has the same airflow as when I tried it before.

    I tried that with usc and pure water, have to blow out the water from the cotton, and IF you didnt vape something to sticky flavor it works :)

    I use Steradent for removing really nasty stuff. An overnight soak should do it.
    Take the atty completely to bits first, and don't forget to rinse thoroughly afterwards.

    DCenture cleaning tablets. Disolve in water and drop your false teeth, (or in this case coils, tanks RDA's etc.) in it, soak for a long while rinse and bobs your uncle. lol

    Ultrasonic cleaner with a good dish washing detergent or for the really tough jobs light degreaser mixed with acetone has always cleaned anything I've thrown at it.
